I don't even expect a 1929 anymore. Never really did, just a "return to normal" at least a slight bit. At least for the time when rates are higher and most data suggest a downturn, especially for EU. But it doesn't matter. It's all US driven. Seen it so many times the last weeks, DAX and CAC move harder on US data. EU data is being ignored or bad data even leads to pumps like today (although I'm sure it isn't causation, it probably would have happened anyways, but it makes it even more obvious that it doesn't matter).

Well, it is understandable since the market has been running on steroids ever since 2020 because??? Well, because the market got used to the banks bailing out the system by giga printing. That insane amount of money is where? Corporations and the stock market.
And now that we are "nearing the top of the hiking cycle" (which I don't believe btw but that's another matter), the market is once again getting greedy for the printer to get switched on again.
Plus extremely high core inflation and falling PPI in Europe ultimately translates to significantly higher profits. The greediness will continue until profits take a significant toll, which I just can't see happening this year.
This fully rational market will continue at least another 6 months.
The one and only thing that could bomb the markets right now is if MSFT and NVDA utterly miss on their earnings and their guidance is crap (which 99% will not happen)

There's growing consensus that they won't hit 5% growth this year, maybe not even hit 4%, and this was supposed to be their breakout recovery year BEFORE they started slowing down in the long-term. Most economists already agreed that 5%+ growth wouldn't be possible after this year either and they're already revising future projections down.
