2 people called out on my closing shift and I had to work twice as hard and still got pushed to close faster

One of the girls didn't show up because she was hungover from the night before

If you're not white, you have my sympathy.

If you are white, I don't care.

Yeah I used to do that too way back when I was 18-19 and working my ass off for shit jobs and didn't know any better.
If you work anything close to minimum wage, your main goal should be to minimize the amount of work you do and never go the extra mile, never EVER make your life miserable for a shit paying job, you are exchanging your time for money and that's it.
Only advice I can give is that if you work minimum wage then move to a smaller city, in big cities they can afford to treat you like shit because they have a big pool of potential candidates lined up to take your job.

why are zoomers like this?
as a millenial I only have 1 speed. I wont be able to work faster than the rate I always work at which is generally always hard. an hour of work is an hour of work, I could care less how chaotic, who calls out, or even if my employer makes me actually work the entire hour because you guessed it im going to do that anyway. imagine unironically using your phone for anything but to check email.

and how much money did you put into bitcoin when you were not even out of school and working yet?
I had 2 friends, 1 from a former-Soviet-bloc shithole, other 1 from a South American shithole, who were into bitcoin all the way back in 2012-2013, mining and buying pennies worth on mt gox and trading with handwritten python bots
do you think they retired off it? lmao
the latter made more from dealing synthetic LSD in 1 summer

i went to get an oil change yesterday and the grease monkey shop i usually visit was a total shitshow. most of the regular staff (i'm talking 10-15+ employees, older fellas) were gone and all i saw was a bunch of zoomers being managed by one old guy. the zoomer employees had weird haircuts, tattoos, and spoke very rudely (the guy literally asked "yeah, what do you want?" in the most sarcastic and off putting way. it made me want to gas it out of the bay and run his little faggot ass over). they were also milling about on their phones instead of actually doing their job and properly inspecting my vehicle. the older guy had a 1000 yard stare and looked completely defeated. i dont think i'll be returning to that place any time soon. it seems like service is getting worse across the board at most places.

Sounds like an accurate depiction of the younger generation in a generalized way. It's just the way it's going to be going forward in most cases and it's not right to blame them for it. They're not given a real wage so why should they care? The boomers have rugpulled.
