I avoided being heemed by taking profits on the way down, but I also averaged TSLA down and it is now 30% of my trading account (picrel allocation doesn't include my cash position which is 25%). Time will tell if this was a good play or if I should've just ridden the volatility down and waited.

Should I just eat shit and sell my Japanese Small Companies investment? It was doing well last year but it's underperforming even compared to comparable funds.

On the one hand there's a lot of talk about Japan small caps being positioned well to outperform but on the other that's not guaranteed and I got move the money to South America to at least reap emerging market headwinds.

So another week is done. Good news keeps rolling in for a change. BAC hiked the divvy; good thing I bought shares during the sale event last week or week before, forget which. My latest 401k statement came in; YTD up 20%, with the last quarter up over 9%. The final contribution hike takes effect uh soon. I say final cause I never plan on touching that money till I'm forced to when I hit age 75. Which by that point uh well the fat balance will out last me and my wife by a good clip by itself. Japan is still a good investment. My fund recommendation for investing in Japan is DXJ. DXJ is the best-performing Japan ETF and it is recovering from the last price drop.

Investing in Southern American countries is also a profitable option. The ILF and ARGT funds are currently beating the S&P 500 by a good amount, and they're also undervalued intrinsically as well. These are high-performing stocks for a bargain.

That is an F18 job. And there is a missile in the works anyways which will possibly allow Cs to launch BVR missiles. They might stick the supersonic stuff on a drone that tails the Cs anyways. But imagine a fleet of hundreds of Cs with even a single BVR weapon. Forget even arming them, just having the armament available will paralyze enemy forces. GG forever.

It'll shoot down J-20's just fine. And it will "shoot down" Su-57's by existing (which the vaporware-57 does not). Needless to say 4th-gen fighters such as the Tejas, Boramae, and Rafaele would be swiftly BTFO as well in the event they somehow found themselves in air-to-air combat against this beast.

this is highly likely. they worked on a lot of *way* ahead of the curve stuff some years ago, but then got complacent and let a lot slide and degrade. sergey brin is back to regular hands on on campus right now and is getting some things steered back on course. the fruits at some point should be pretty seriously impactful. the primary headwind at this point is the potential for government kneecapping, which *may* even be paid for by MSFT who *may* even wind up buying GOOG someday (not within a decade) in the long game.

Well pic related is a red flag. They're leveraging through long synthetic futures and then selling covered calls on top for the divvie. The downside is that leveraged instruments can't recover if you're limiting the upside through CC's. It requires a strong bull market (which kills off some of the needed IV) and gets tanked during volatile periods. Check out the CBOE website and compare the BXM strategy to SPX during volatile periods. Go look at TSLA's historic volatility too.

For bitcoin I use the weekly and daily MACD. When they are both green I buy. When daily goes red I sell. If daily goes green but weekly is red I stay in cash. I've made a ton of money over the years using this and have avoided the crashes like a champ.
For SPXL, TQQQ, and SVOL I watch the percentile rank of the VIX/VIX3M ratio. When the percentile rank goes above 65% I go to cash and when it is below 60% I go all in the 3 leveraged ETFs.
I have another account with SOXL where I watch the 200 day moving average on SOXX. When SOXX is above I buy SOXL, below I sell.
I use absolute momentum to short natural gas futures. If the NG futures contract price is beneath the price on the same day 1 year ago I short. When it's above I go to cash. I never go long natural gas since the expensive cost of storage makes the contango so extreme the price just steadily declines in the long term. We’re trying to find ONE (1) good stock.

If you find the company when it's still a small cap you'll probably have to hold for 20 years while it barely moves. You'll miss out on all the market moves between then and the time that it moons. You might end up with less money from years of crabbing followed by a sudden jolt upwards compared with holding an already-established company over the same length of time, or even trading.
You could try buying private equity to sell at IPO/acquisition, if you meet the criteria or find a good SPAC. You could look at mudkips or largecaps. Or you could wait for a metaverse-tier fuckup to tank the value of a large/megacap so you can sell when it recovers. Buying small caps and holding them for years is probably not a good strategy.

IV is the expected range of movement for the stock over the next year. It's "implied" because it's based on the price of the specific option you're looking at, everything else being equal. Note it isn't the expected price movement of SNAP at the end of the year, just the expected range during the year. An IV of 200% on SNAP is very high as it's above the 99th percentile IV rank meaning IV for SNAP has been at 200% or above less than 1% of the time over the last year. The option is quite expensive

Microdosing is a racket. There is neglible effects from doing a small amount daily because you build tolerance so quickly within the first week your body will no longer be affected by it. That said, I believe there is a strong case for a recreational market. I find taking a smaller dose (1g) or is perfect for socializing. It's like being tipsy but without all the heavy body action. Part of the reason why people don't do mushroom more is what I just experienced being lazy and dry chewing them. There are of course much better extraction methods like making a tea using them or even better extracting in high acidity citric juice.

Anyways my scale is not very accurate so I am not exactly sure how much I just took, could been anywhere from 3-4.5g

i did some calculations at work during slow moments.
counted my initial position size to 11% and i have 9 of those. my losses and profits will be small

i wrote in cons: profits will be small. then i thought what profits? so that settled it. building structure, rules etc is easy for me.

my biggest issues is buying and what to buy.

i freeze weirdly with that. iniative or something is a big issue for me. now i can take more gambles with the 9 positions.

i need to learn how to run the system live so i can get more confidence in buying.

I find buying opportunities are obvious if you wait for them. Rather than that, selling is what does me in since I hold too long.

he also said you need to aim to double your money every 6 to 18 months. getting your salary amount from the market is useless according to him. lol

You may not be wrong, but I am very much unfond of auto manufacturers as businesses. You have the unions, the retarded supply chains and satelite manufacturing facilities since none of them make their own parts in house, how comfortable they are with debt, the always tightening emission standards, the competition in the space, the fact they all get btfo by the Japs. It is all kind of embarrassing.

Does everyone here understand that the sole reason BOIL, TQQQ/SQQQ, etc. exist is for people too dumb/poor/ugly to trade CME futures?
Every "great trader" book of the last 50 years is about CME instruments, Mark Douglas, everybody.
