Yes, that's by design
If the common cattle have any money left at the end of the month someone higher up didn't do their job right

You're supposed to have kids you can't support, fall into crippling debt, get married and lose half your worth, get sick and throw all your money into your own survival, buy every convenient subscription you see, and doordash every meal.

All of it is to keep you on the endless hamster wheel

You like the IDEA of having a loving wife and kids

Not the REALITY of having a wife and kids

This. All my former friends that got married and have kids ended up shit talking to my face because I can afford a house on my own and I don't need a woman in my life to fund my lifestyle. Happend a few times, all the same outcome.
>say negative things about me
>"at least I'm independent" and/or "at least I don't live under someone else's thumb"
>they seethe hard and I have one less cunt to buy Christmas presents for

>meet some girl, I've been solo for quite a while, what could go wrong

>my end-of-the-month savings got instantly pummeled

Shit's painful, man. I'm not cheap but these spending habits will kill me. How to tell her to ease a bit with splurging without looking like Scrooge McDuck

>> No.55626570

>>55626539
You already fucked up. Establish financial responsibility when the relationship starts. Early on tell her "Poor people stay poor because they spend like they're rich. Rich people because rich because they spend like they're poor and invest." If she doesn't get it, dump her and find someone better.

>> No.55626609

>>55626539
The trick is to plan shit out for her. That leaves limited time for her to spend. So for instance, we both have a planet fitness membership and go there every morning and sometimes in the afternoon. I am a member of the Elks Lodge and we eat out there twice a week (less than half the price of a regular restaurant). We ski in the winter, but we buy a season pass and I told her that if I buy the passes we are going to use them. So the $1200 I spent means that we went at least 15-20 days.

If you let women plan things out, they will just pick random expensive activities.

It's worth noting that most of these "paycheck to paycheck" statistics aren't really what you think it is. It doesn't mean that the majority of people is just one lost paycheck from being broke. No, it just means that they aren't specifically allotting some of their paycheck to increasing savings. For example, if you're a millionaire, richer than 99.9% of people, and when you get a paycheck you spend it all on hookers and blow because why wouldn't you, then you are included in that stat as living paycheck to paycheck.

clearly you fear being in a better place because you know you'll have more responsibilities. if you actually wanted to be in a better place, in the same way you want to play vr games so badly, you'd already be on your way.
