Bond exchange for $4.376B of Notes into $5.4B of Notes,which are PIK for the next 2-years and then 9% or 11% cash pay thereafter. Plus the bondholders have Adesa now. Good luck with that. The float will increase by 1/3rd. The short interest will go down meaningfully as a percentage of the shares out. Something like <30%. I guess the market makers involved in the deal will support this until Monday

I think the gist is that CVNA is pushing their debt down the road with higher rates so they are able to do an equity offering right now. It's retarded. They are raising equity to pay off their debt, but in order to raise their equity they have to use a PIK structure that increases the interest rate of their debt....lmfao
