I've got about $850k liquid. How can I use this to never work again? I'm 35 and I just want to ride my bike and hang out with my dog.

Build a rental complex and collect the rent while living with your parents.

Blue chip divvy stocks, preferably 7/8% yield or higher. You wont be uber wealthy but youll be comfortably middle class forever. 60-80k a year passive income, not too shabby.

i thought you said you just wanted to ride your bike and hang out with your dog? hmmm seems like you want more than that, maybe you'll have to, i dont know, work for it? If youre active with your investments, even just $200k, you can afford to spend more on the location, but you'll have to do some work.

no such thing, especially safely

might earn 4% but it would be -1% next year

Sell puts weekly. You can easily make 3,000-10,000 a week with 850k. Just don't do anything high risk and stay far enough out of the money. It won't work 100% of the time and it can be stressful but you can make money every week fairly safe with this.

Just day trade on safe and simple trades. Could probably make 10,000 per month doing only the safest of day trades. Trading strategy should be 90% wait and watch. No need to stress.

Why not live in the mountains then?
Get some sticks, rocks, buy a tarp/bear spray from camping world and some solar powered generators. will cost significantly less and you can do whatever the fuck you want.

Find a private lender business that's backed by real estate. Guy I know lent $450k to a developer making like $3800 a month just on interest and can make the term to get his money back fully whenever.

Don't retire anon, 850K isn't worth shit these days.
I have a few millions at 35, and I can't retire because a few millions isn't worth shit anymore.

This works, pro margin on TDA is 7x your liquidity over ~$110k. So you can put in ~100k and sell naked calls with a stop loss worth >$700k. Literally multiplies your returns, been at it for 5 years with conservative strat making 50% ROI on >1m invested

3mm is enough to retire just fine unless you have very expensive tastes. like if you're paying already like 6k+ a month on a mortgage or something then add in 1-2k+ for cars. yeah, good luck retiring at that point.

Buy 2 units side by side. They are cheaper than 2 houses, but have a lot of the benefits of a house with only 1 shared wall.
Rent out 1 unit. I would also keep working and max save so I could buy another 2 units to be completely set up for passive income.
