You can stake through exchanges but they will short your holdings in order to give you those rewards.
To stake natively you'll need 32 ETH.

It's pretty much one of the only truly safe places to gain yield in crypto. No risk of getting rugged like all the other decentralized-in-name-only projects, no bridge exploit risk since this is native to the protocol.

Of course that means low reward. About 4-6% depending on whether you run mevboost too. That will go up if you also re-stake via eigenlayer in the future, but that's a separate discussion.

It's not that difficult to setup either. People are always asking about "passive" income well here you go. It's not completely passive though, you do need to monitor and occasionally upgrade the software but that's about it.

It's not a get-rich-quick yield, it's a boomer-tier yield for sure. But do note that the yield is in ETH terms. So if you're bullish on ETH or web3 technology in general, I'll let you do the math.
