I'm looking to invest a small percentage of the money in my savings account into metal to deversify. Would it be wise to split between gold and silver 50/50 in value or would it be better to just focus more on one of the two?

Personally, I have about a 1/100 gold/silver ratio. I think the trend is to get more gold the bigger stack you have. Silver takes up a lot of room and it's easier to store gold as you have more invested.
I would not buy big, especially now. I try to buy something every few weeks. When the market is high, I buy less. Last month I was stacking tubes of Maple Leafs each week. This month, not so much. Hopefully the pullback will continue and I can start binging again.

How do you track your stack over time? I'm currently using libre calc basically excel but for Linux. But im having a hard time pulling in the prices at the time of purchase. Anyone using a sick excel layout? Lmk.

The capsule is a CoinSafe RC-39-2. No it does not fit well, the depth of the coin is too large for the capsule to close leaving a fingernail thickness gap. My primary concern with the CoinSafe capsule is that it is allowing more air in because it can't close all the way but the seal appears tight (very hard to pry apart with fingers). Maybe I should try a water test on a capsule to get a better idea of what is going on. If I had to do it over again I would consider the Air-Tite X6D which has the proper depth but those capsules are huge in diameter and depth compared to the CoinSafe one.
