Hello m8s, things are still chugging along albeit at a lazy pace purely of my own fault. I'm terrible at getting things done but starting to feel better and out of my rut. Apologies to anybody whose email I didn't respond to in a timely manner, I think I've gotten back to everyone now.
The '23 Prospector sample had some issues so that may take another week or two for the new die to get made. Crusaders are looking at an August fulfillment and I'll post the first draft from the mint once I receive it so anons can provide their feedback
Thank you for your continued support, it means a lot to me and I'm still excited about what we'll be able to come up with in the future. If the timelines are unsatisfactory I understand and offer refunds up until the time of shipment.
I had a hard drive failure with no backup and lost all the photos of anon's coins. If you have any pictures of the memecoins you'd like to share I'd love to rebuild my collection

Cheers everyone, hope you had a good weekend and your coming week isn't too shitty

You are correct, metals are best for people trying to protect or diversify their savings and investments. Of course anybody is welcome to invest but if you don't have a strong financial foundation then you will likely be selling at the first financial emergency (medical, car, family, etc). Physical pms are for holding, if you have to sell them to pay rent or get your car fixed then you're doing it wrong.

If you are broke you should have other priorities with your money:
* find stable job (get car, get insurance, get certificates)
* build cash money emergency fund (3 (if you are alone) or 6 (if you have kids) month of expenses)
* find the cheapest possible, yet safe housing
* buy liquid investment, that is investment you can sell quickly, ETF for example
* buy gold to bribe yourself out of a gulag
* buy silver as a bet

I started over a few times, i'm just yet getting to the buy gold stage at 50.
But getting the first three done is a matter of 2 to 3 years only.

Everybody knows the market is manipulated.
https://www.justice.gov/opa/pr/jpmorgan-chase-co-agrees-pay-920-million-connection-schemes-defraud-precious-metals-and-us

Everyone knows the paper market claims vastly outnumber the physical market
https://schiffgold.com/exploring-finance/comex-now-has-28-paper-claims-for-each-physical-ounce-of-registered-silver/

Will we ever see it moon? Probably. Will it last? Probably not. Higher silver prices means that sources that aren't economical now (industrial recycling, old unprofitable mines, grandma's silverware, etc) will become viable, driving the price back down. Large holders will also cash in.
Personally, I'm not looking for a windfall. I'm happy for a store of value for emergencies or my heirs.

Pt has a sketchy future. Its overwhelmingly greatest use is in catalytic converters, but gas engines are falling out of favor and with that Pt.
OTOH, electric-only vehicles require many rare-earth metals that China (sole or major supplier) exports, and China is beginning to restrict exports. This might mean hydrogen fuel cells will become viable and popular, and Pt is used as a catalyst to extract the H from the HO. That could be a boon to Pt's price.
>tl;dr: Buy some Pt, but don't go all in.
Pt's price over the past couple of years fluctuated between 850 and 1100. So we're seeing it at slightly below the average of that range.

You're correct in your assumption that little used methods of recovery now would become economically practical, but if these methods become viable long term it basically sets a bare minimum floor price for silver well above today's manipulated prices.

Personally, I have about a 1/100 gold/silver ratio. I think the trend is to get more gold the bigger stack you have. Silver takes up a lot of room and it's easier to store gold as you have more invested.
I would not buy big, especially now. I try to buy something every few weeks. When the market is high, I buy less. Last month I was stacking tubes of Maple Leafs each week. This month, not so much. Hopefully the pullback will continue and I can start binging again.

The capsule is a CoinSafe RC-39-2. No it does not fit well, the depth of the coin is too large for the capsule to close leaving a fingernail thickness gap. My primary concern with the CoinSafe capsule is that it is allowing more air in because it can't close all the way but the seal appears tight (very hard to pry apart with fingers). Maybe I should try a water test on a capsule to get a better idea of what is going on. If I had to do it over again I would consider the Air-Tite X6D which has the proper depth but those capsules are huge in diameter and depth compared to the CoinSafe one.
