if it were possible, would it not be ideal to set up a hydroelectric xmr farm, on a discreet rural property for survival

The benefits would be great and you could potentially make infinite profit, but you have to afford the equipment beforehand, and it would likely take a while to get sufficient earnings.

basically ideally, it would be somewhat mountainous and flow into a larger river with no farms in the way and no one to complain you're damming it up

also the downhill momentum on a straight shot maximizes energy production

you also want frontage on both sides of the river/stream whatever

and then it would also be great if you could build a homestead there as well, because hydroelectric energy is pretty handy in the end times
