what does it actually do?

seems like everyone was just interested for the SEC ruling pump.
And what now?
What is XRP going to be used for in the real world? Who is building on it?

the selling of tokens to the public is yet to be determined. I read the doc. Summary dismissal was denied. Hence it needs to go to a jury. the Judge simply ruled that the investors directly with ripple is a security. The rest is going to jury trial.
The doc was a ruling on MOTIONS of summary judgment.

Well XRP doesnt have the fee, its soo fucking low that its meaningless.

How it works?
>send $dollars$ to UK

Its that simple, XRP acts as the middle man between transactions while reducing the fees, actually almost removing them.

But why can't banks just do the transaction without the middleman for no fees? If ripple is able to do it with little to no fees, surely there is a way to remove xrp from the equation and still have even fewer fees.

Banks don't settle within seconds. It usually takes days and the banks on both sides front the amount you're sending based on both how much your bank trusts you, and whether or not your bank is trusted by the other. Usually your bank will hold your money in escrow until the funds are properly cleared rather than leaving it in your account which is why it looks instant.
Moving fiat is expensive and time consuming. If you don't understand this or understand why you need to go back.

if XRP is allegedly the next big ''treasury backed currency'' then how are you expecting to make money off of it?

literally no one will want to touch this coin if its evaluation is like 10x or 100x a regular dollar, but with the added value of being volatile as fuck?

you are an absolute bozo, it is already a fact that XRP is not a security. All direct past transactions from Ripple to Institutions are securities but the future sales are not.

But still, XRP is trash and even after winning the case, the shitcoin can't even reach a dollar. You wanna know why? Because XRP is not designed for you to get rich, it is designed to have a value under dollar and be used for massive transactions, its value in the future will be like a stable coin. These XRP schizos are too lazy to find a better alternative of investment and they stick with this jewish coin.

So xrp is just...a Blockchain for moving money around on? That's the most basic shit ever. So the reason banks are supposed to use xrp instead of eth or btc is because xrps chain is faster and cheaper...so what? Blockchains get better all the fucking time. If it's just a fucking Blockchain to move beans around on then why is this so impressive? In 5 years it'll probably be standard for transactions to settle in fractions of a second. What would make xrp better then? Anyone can make a fucking Blockchain to move shit around on. I seriously don't understand why the crypto industry is so hung up on making billions of different blockchains that all do the same thing just at different speeds.

In the years since eth exploded, how many new Blockchains have shown up with objectively better speeds and lower fees? A number of them right? It stands to reason that new ones will constantly get created and they're going to keep getting better. So why would xrp's selling point of speed and low fees be impressive then? There are likely chains right now with better stats. Blockchains are the most basic tech in the industry, we're past the point where making new ones is innovative.
