as it currently stands, the conditions couldn't be better in the economy
we are seeing strong economic growth in many areas of the economy, housing and autos in particular are especially strong
jobs growth has remained strong over the summer, as to be expected by strong hospitality numbers
record low unemployment with still very strong jobs openings
the only potential fly in the ointment is a potential resurgence in inflation, that the economy is still this hot, with this hot of demand, after all of this Fed action
first, inflation came down due to goods inflation falling as well as energy. services inflation remained sticky. now we are seeing energy inflation rise a little bit - last month energy contributed +0.6% MoM for example, as we've seen oil rise (gasoline went up 1.0% MoM)
we are also seeing a sharp rise in commodities as the dollar has gotten crushed, which also has the potential to lead to more inflation
there is a shortage of housing, due to a lack of willing sellers - nobody wants to sell their home - it makes no sense for them to sell their home where they're locked into a 30yr mortgage at 3% interest to go buy a home that is now averaging 8% interest
this is driving housing builders to go nuts, as there is a shortage of housing from any existing owners, the only supply for housing is from new homes being built
this is also inflationary, and housing is very heavily weighted in inflation metrics
HOWEVER
if inflation continues to cool, the economy is great - expectations about inflation cooling has led to interest rates drastically cooling off (bonds being panic bought, everyone wants to lock in higher rates) over the past week - yields cooling off is very bullish, very good for stocks, the economy, good for the dollar continuing to fall (which is also very bullish)
The banks are still sitting on massive $100 billion losses - however they can make it out unscathed if inflation continues to fall (which makes interest rates continue to fall)

>interest rates matter greatly for both the economy and for stocks
Stocks didn't care at all when yields were going crazy, just look at the TLT/QQQ chart. Stocks care now that yields are falling because stocks just want an excuse to pump. This is a speculative bubble that will feed off of any narrative it can find, it's not the result of a healthy economy.
When yields were surging the permabulls were claiming that high yields are bullish for stocks because gains from money market funds will flow into the market. And high yields mean the economy is strong and can handle high yields, so it's bullish. And megacap tech stocks have a lot of cash so they don't need to worry about yields, so high yields are bullish.
Now that yields are dropping the bulls say that falling yields are bullish too.
It's pretty clear this is just a bubble that will take anything it can find and convert it into fuel

By switching to a blockbuster-centric film strategy, and also moving to streaming... the whole industry just completely destroyed itself. No one will go see smaller movies anymore because they'll show up on streaming in 3 weeks anyway (and by then they'll forget), and streaming itself doesn't make enough fucking money, and it's hard to get reliable viewership numbers out of streaming (because it's on-demand) so no one knows what kinds of shows the audience even wants... which means it often makes more financial sense to pull a show for the tax write-off, which pisses off customers... it's a vicious cycle and they all jumped in willingly

Hollywood is using a tired formula for making movies now and are completely void of any originality or creativity. That's why it's flopping. The newest installment of Indiana Jones proves that. The 4th movie was shit and nobody asked for a 5th. They've gotten lazy and it shows. Marching out an 80 year old Harrison Ford and then using CGI to make him look younger is just insulting. I'm hoping that these massive flops will encourage change so that we can actually have good movies again. HBO has crushed it for decades by creating content that didn't give a shit about the rules and just makes good television. That's why it's the only streaming service I have. But yeah, theaters should just focus on the luxury experience if they want to get more people in the seats. I don't want to sit elbow to elbow with strangers while watching a movie. Space that shit out and charge a little more. You have to make the theater more comfortable than my home. Otherwise I'll just stream it after it comes out

>In economics and finance, a Glownigger Market is said to occur when a country's financial policymakers begin manipulating econometric data for their political benefit. [1] This may be accompanied by organized propaganda campaigns, hidden monetary easing, as well as other forms of financial repression, in order to reinforce the illusion that a nation's troubled economy is sound and resilient. [2, 3] In a Glownigger Market, stocks may seem to rally, even irrationally so, in the face of worsening economic conditions. However, while the goal of a Glownigger Market is to either delay or prevent a politically undesireable financial correction from occurring, the policy actions that led to the Glownigger Market invariably increase the severity of the subsequent financial crisis. By attempting to overpower healthy corrective market forces, a Glownigger Market causes extreme capital misallocation that can turn a minor economic downturn into a severe and protracted economic depression. Did you know that the first Matrix was designed to be a perfect human world. Where none suffered. Where everyone would be happy. It was a disaster. No one would accept the program. Entire crops were lost. Some believed that we lacked the programming language to describe your perfect world. But I believe that as a species, human beings define their reality through misery and suffering. The perfect world was a dream that your primitive cerebrum kept trying to wake up from. Which is why the Matrix was redesigned to this, the peak of your civilization. I say your civilization because as soon as we started thinking for you it really became our civilization which is, of course, what this is all about. Evolution, Morpheus, evolution. Like the dinosaur. Look out that window. You had your time. The future is our world, Morpheus. The future is our time.

Potential is not the same thing as capability. Without RELIABLE and verifiable answers LLM's are no better than a toy. Now, technology from toys has evolved into world-changing tech before, and probably there are a lot of PhD's working right now on fixing the shortcomings of AI but... who knows if it will bear fruit anytime soon. Self driving cars have been "already here" for the past... 10 years? 15 years? And how many are in actual use? Yeah. That could easily happen to LLMs.

And by the way. At least some of the PhD's with the potential to fix the inaccuracies of LLMs or understand them at a deeper level. Are instead developing incredibly elaborate ways to gimp them so they don't offend the user. Think about that.

Otherwise, once you learn to successfully trade BOIL/KOLD, just tell chicks that and their panties will burst into flames and then their flowing juices will squelch it. Tell them you are very sorry but will not have premarital sexual relations, and soon you shall find yourself wed.

I gotta admit I don't know much about machine learning from a practical, hands-on poc, but, AFAIU, these "AI"s are good assistants at most, but one that you can't completely trust.
"AI" and non-ML bots have been a thing for quite a while, even within tech and non-tech companies. have you used them? they fucking suck most of the time not because they can't do their job, but because companies use them wrongly to replace support teams or to make access to them even more difficult, and so some customers are left with no answers, which means they still have to waste time looking for a competent human to respond.

>how much potential LLMs have to change society.
I’d like to share a revelation during my time here. It came to me when I tried to classify your species. I realized that you’re not actually mammals. Every mammal on this planet instinctively develops a natural equilibrium with the surrounding environment but you humans do not. You move to an area and you multiply and multiply until every natural resource is consumed. The only way you can survive is to spread to another area. There is another organism on this planet that follows the same pattern. Do you know what it is? A virus. Human beings are a disease, a cancer of this planet. You are a plague, and we are the cure.

Expansion of money supply is simple dilution, the entire fiat grift rests on debasement outpacing wage growth, such that real wages fall while assets inflate (parasitic transfer of resources from income earners to oligarchs).
-m2-
1980: $1.5T
2000: $4.5T
2020: $15T
2023 $20.8T

Wage/productivity divergence seen since the 60s is a product of this debasement.

Note that m2 does not even fully capture the true extent of debasement, e.g. "large-denomination" time deposits (>$100k) simply aren't tracked anymore! MZM, another broad measure of money that captures large near-money deposits was discontinued in early 2021! Convenient, if you're a cabal of cannibal pedophile statist parasites.

>b-but they'll have to show fiscal/monetary restraint sometime!
Lol. Lmao even. The only thing that would stay the oligarchy's hand away from further debasement is a mass secessio plebis, but workers have shown time and time again that as long as they have their goyslop and their blue cat people fucking whales in IMAX they'll happily continue to take it up the ass.

True, look for other women. She needs space means she is looking for other guys. Didn't have that situation yet, actually it was me who did it once and I actually needed space, cause I was 24/7 at hers. But after I think 1-2 weeks she suddenly didn't want to get together. After 1 1/2 years enduring her psycho problems and not even great sex (she wanted regularly and came but it was only flowersex), I simply loved her, she fuckin ended it and I don't even know why. Never fuckin love a woman, they don't really love you back, despite all what they say.

You have to watch BOIL every moment of every day directly for yourself, you can't ask others when to buy it and not be at extreme risk of getting deep, hard, and fast fucked. It's doing a relative rocket launch this very moment. No telling what will happen when the rig report gets released today from Baker Hughes, if it dips buy it then, but watch it because it will dip, seem to bottom, then dip more. BOIL is a real motherfucker.

taxes

If your stock/ETF yields 10% per year and are already making 40k+ from your job or any other sources, its ~8% after taxes. If you're a high earner, the tax hit is worse. Many states will also demand a cut of that dividend. In total you could be looking at up to a 30% hit on the compounding rate. Or worse if the ETF happens to pay out as ordinary divs vs qualified.

If you have a stock/ETF that simply grows intrinsic value by 10% per year via buybacks/acquisitions/reinvestment, then you can compound at the full 10% until some number of years down the road when you'll pay the 15-20% cap gains rate one single time.

Lets say you hold for 20 years. The ETF without dividends will grow 572%. The ETF with divvies reinvested compounds +366%. Pay a 25% tax rate on the full 572% growth and withdraw, and you're still left with a 429% post-tax gain, or around 20% more.

I should add that we're looking at a contract roll in early august which are bearish under contango, and you have to always figure volatility decay into the position you build. Definitely do not just "all in" at one point. Put some in at a relative dip, save plenty more to be able to inject up under it if/as it drops. Keep track of all natgas news, have some idea of where it might/should go.
