Here are some notes on valve the owner of steam deck. It is a private company where one of the original founders Gabe Newell still owns 50%. They have been approached many times to go public but never have because of fears of meddling shareholders. They have a very serious threat of anti trust law suit. There are many competitors that would love this.

Seems like a really good fit to work with or merge with GameStop. Way less red tape for an acquisition of a private company, founder still involved with 50% equity, he doesn't like wallstreet, if the shareholder are retail and gamers and there is the NFT market place/ tech there will be alignment between making great games without creative interference and shareholder value. NFT technology in general is a serious threat to their business model. They have been unsuccessful with getting the steam deck to catch on, would be nice to sell in GameStop stores.
