Its never profitable ever since it became a meme back during ,com. You're cost per transaction in taxable income and trading fees means you are just making a running loss. if you are going to do tax avoidance to live then its not even a very good way of doing that. You can't predict events like earthquakes for example. You are not a special unique talented snowflake. In fact because you ARE day trading then you ARE a tard. Even NEETs on social welfare are smarter

I'm not day trading, but wondering if learning how to properly is worth the effort or not. I don't think I get taxed on every trade in my country, just capital gains, which is nice.

>> No.55512587

>>55512574
False.

Anyone who catches a bull-run parabolic green candle is always profitable.

>b-but thats impossible

No its not, it requires simply being an active market participant and not constantly shorting the market over n over again.

Going long over and over again, ,even if you get liquidated, is where you eventually make it.

Eventually your 100X long position will catch a parabola movement to the upside, and that is where your big money starts.

>Taxes

Everyone pays taxes retard, whether you earn it as a surgeon or a trader, youre paying taxes, who gives a fuck.

i day / swing traded up 10k in last 3 months, then down 2500 in a day, then back up 1500 in 3 days. its stressful and i would have made a lot more if i bought the bottom and held rather than constantly swinging every large move

How much capital are you using to trade those positions, or are you using leverage?

>> No.55512747

no leverage or options, just buying dumps and selling pumps. it was a few 1-5k buys that returned 20-100% pumps

>> No.55512753

>>55512581
It's not. The market will always beat you in the long run. Worst you can do is win a few trades in a row and think you are some kind of genius, and then proceed to lose all your money either with leverage or through commissions/spread which gets larger the more leverage you use. It's just a honeypot for idiots.

it's profitable until it's not. This is a scam market and the exchanges and market markers are scammers, they know everything, your entry, your liquidation price, your stop loss if any. They have infinite tethers that they can wash trade with to move the price where ever they want. They collude in signal chatrooms, they sell the data of their users so that others can trade against you and according to the SEC suit, exchanges like Binance even have employees that they pay to trade against their users. If you keep playing they will win eventually and when you use stop losses and try to be responsible they will stop you out almost every time so you will be losing a lot of money that way.

Remember that this space isn't properly regulated so anything criminal that they can get away with at this point they will do. It's a scam market.

basically when you get lucky it just means that there was some bigger fish on the opposite side of your trade who they wanted to steal money from first, that's my theory anyway. If you want to mess with trading then do it in a bull market when there are lots of people trading and you're a small fish. At times like this liquidity is low and they'll be looking to steal whatever they can. it's definitely rigged

The only way to make profit is by realizing which coins a whales about to pump problem is they absolutely can see your buy in and will decide to stop the pump if they feel like it.
So you buy a coin thats up 5% looking like it's gonna be the gainer of the day you buy in.
it shoots up 10% you think it's gonna run.
Stalls out for a second, dumps 17%

Now slowly bleeds out from all the fish stop lossing.

Now you're down 5% goodluck because if you market sell takes another 1-2% in hidden fees now you're down 7%

Now go find your next coin oh but if you market buy it expect another 2% loss
Etc etc etc until you're broke.

Or just don't be me and be sane.

Then I took a major CTE at the end of 2021 and never was able to recover my mental faculties.

imagine thinking that there's any liquidity in this market, if you're trading with more than $500 they're noticing you, it's majority wash trading and 90% of the volume is fake. When there is a real bull run then yes they won't notice you, but they notice everything now.
