Feel certainly, the color is a matter of taste, new fresh ones from the factory can seem a bit odd with a slight rosegold tint, older ones that have been fondled don't look as off. Same for fresh sovereigns.
The bit of copper is much less noticeable in other coins like Kronen, centenario etc.

Of all the idiotic things to say, that was it. Not to mention, not an argument.
If gold/silver have no value, why have they been used as a currency and/or as a store of wealth? This has been the case for several millennia now. Literally since the Varna Civilization in the 4000 BC range.
>Water is more precious than silver and gold.

gold has value because people believe it does, just as they have for all of civilization. when people see a shiny rock they know it's valuable and can be traded. try trading a pack of smokes or a bottle of booze to someone who doesn't smoke or drink. how much value does a specific bottle have? nobody knows. everybody knows that gold is very valuable.

What happened earlier this year is a taste of what's to come. When three literally nobody banks are took a shit, the whole country and in part the world saw through the charade. Our first currencies are worthless. Gold and silver are the safe haven as they've always been.
The main reason for why gold/silver no longer are a currency and are no longer backing a currency is due to govt. and banking corruption. Do you not any understanding of US monetary history you dumb fucking nigger?

I only hold an unknown amount of Monero and I use it to buy stuff but I have no interest in selling my cold storage for fiat unless it pops off and then I can buy some property. It's also just money I have stashed away in case I need it. For example, I had to get my dog to the vet and long story short I had some pretty heavy bills so it was nice having Local Monero and using that to cash out some Monero for liquidity and not stress about eating into my savings account (trying to save for a downpayment on a house). PMs are a similar safety net I have lying around.
I agree with the other poster saying you should just get more money for more pms. I don't have ETH but they are one of the only blue chip cryptos out there.

Your arguments are debunked. Nobody even knows what silver and gold is worth. The average Joe would take a big mac over a silver round any second of any day of the week. Even if they did think metal was worth something they would simply take it from you. It has zero value. The world is globalized and once cbdc is rolled out you will literally own nothing except what the government says you have in your bank. Get it out of your skulls that silver and gold will make a false comeback. They won't. It will be lucky to reach 30 even if the usd crashes. Screencap this because I promise you you will only make marginal gains. Instead of doing bonds or mutual funds or even a tsp/ roth you have wasted it on a 1% return. Congratulations. You still can't eat metal.

This is not exactly true.
The problem society is not fully comprehending is that all of the benefits of economic advancements are getting slurped up by the "owning class". Even though society is becoming incredibly productive, none of that benefits you. What is actually happening is this: corporations are creating MASSIVE economies of scale that confers you the ability to live a working class consumer lifestyle and the rich are slurping up capital.
Consider the pricing of stocks. They are sold in little slices big enough for even plebs to participate. Now, consider just what a pittance most stocks are in comparison to REAL capital which is gold. Compare how little 1 ounce is compared to your monthly wages. Can you afford even 1 ounce after you pay your bills? Most people can not. Their spending power comes in the form of food, entertainment, consumer goods, and some leveraged items such as car and house. All of your savings is also captured by the banks and wallstreet which basically has you funnel all of your work into their paper-ponzi.
If you want to start a business or buy a house the bank can extend you some credit but it ALWAYS comes with the stipulation that it is repaid at interest.
This is the paradigm: everybody plays and everybody pays. Highly trained individuals such as doctors and lawyers are vetted in school selection and are allowed to earn more money and the rest of us enjoy a life of drudgery where saving any money is undermined by high prices and inflation which COMPELS one to chase basis points in the market.

They may only have a few. The concept of having "loss leaders" is common practice. If you could amalgamate every single purchasable item across every grocery store, target, walmart etc and ALWAYS have the best price then no one would make any profit. They have the eyeballs on the website and so capturing high margin sales is always a good way to increase your bottom line.
A good anecdote I have about this is a grocery store I worked at actually made a big deal to the employees about trying to sell "mesh sink strainers" because even at $2 each they were literally 95% profit margin. Getting one of those into a cart is just as important as getting someone to make an impulse buy at the checkout line.

I know a few doctors and it is not uncommon for many of them to leave med school with almost a million dollars in debt.

I have a thesis that I need help developing that much of our economy is essentially an evil math trick. Resources and ownership are a function of exponential functions. Interest, inflation, GDP growth etc. This is actually offset in the fact that you can have infinite growth% and nothing is wrong. But at the same time you can only every lose 100%.
Our spending power for the middle class is carefully managed so as to not allow wages to get too high without taxes structurally putting on the brakes. Cost of healthcare and housing is also there as a major hindrance to soak up your purchasing power so as to not allow you to have access to the time-value of money. Your incentives to save are also schemes to get you to lock up your money until you are 65+ and hopefully you die and even if you do cash it out the taxes come and take a bite. If you can only lose 100% of your money, how many times do percentages take a portion of your money. How many iterations of that need to happen before your purchasing power effectively errodes to nothing more than middle class lifestyles?
I really don't know how better to describe it, but the notion of a "free market" is complete and utter nonsense. These things are carefully constructed so as to not allow people to get their hands on some money, invest it, and then retire at 35. Even healthcare costs are so prohibitive that it basically keeps ALL of us on the cusp of bankruptcy until we can apply for Medicare at 65. If you get sick and can't pay your medical bills you better have you savings tucked away in an IRA anyway EXACTLY where the banks and wallstreet wants it. Otherwise they'll take you to court and seize it all. And don't even think about having cash because the gov will steal that too!

>silver is historically undervalued
This is a /pmg/ meme theme, and has ambiguous meaning. It's probably a poorly-worded version of, "relative how silver was historically valued, it is currently undervalued." But history is not a good comparison, as silver is much more efficiently extracted now. True there is a deficit in production relative to use, but if the price goes up enough silver will be targeted both in mining and recycling more ardently to meet demand. It is speculation and hyperbole to say there's going to be some shortage to cause the price to "moon". And there are adequate substitutes, such as copper for electrical transmission. inb4 "there are some specialized micro-circuitry applications that demand..." Yes, but for those applications where Cu can substitute, that will be done if/when the price/availability of Ag becomes an issue.
Right now, adversaries to the country whose currency is used as a global standard are stacking gold. It is in that way a sort of artificial demand for Au - there's little reason that similarly useful and uncommon elements couldn't be used for a backing, such as tellurium or indium, other than that it has always been so. But economies are kind of built around the notion of gold as the standard, and its distinctive color, resistance to discoloration, malleability, and ease with which is can be used for gilding (thereby feigning ostentatious display of wealth), means this is what we go for, and likely will for the foreseeable future.

Sorry but all metals are becoming increasingly scarce and will benefit from a much higher price. If anything happens to the financial markets that would damage the purchasing power of bank credit then these puny stockpiles of metal will get slurped. If your notion that price of materials just goes up sometimes and down sometimes and it will always be available then you are no conception of what is truly happening. Hundreds of trillions of dollars of leverage is going to get ripped from the economy and written off as losses or monetized in the form of printing of cash and we are all collectively going to be materially poorer. It will be a bankrun on capital and commodities as the economic dislocation of 80+ years of malinvestment, and unbalanced trade and credit being the driving force of the global economy which started back in 1983 which is the last time our economy grew sans expansion of credit. If at any point the masses start to walk away from the paper ponzi a forced revaluation will take place because shortages will be actualized and those last to the door will see their purchasing power evaporate. No one alive has personal experience with what is about to happen and suffer from ignorance and normalcy bias.

My point is, gold is a commodity chosen as a basis of value, and alternatives could exist and even *might* (trigger warning - the following may offend you and cause wailing and gnashing of teeth) be supplanted by another commodity, for instance if the "wrong" entities gain too much sway by virtue of having a lot of the stuff.

And how come there are so many of them on 4chin while i never saw one irl?? (Ok i saw exactly one irl in Beijing, and he was passing - would legit never have been able to tell if it wasn't for the voice, but asian soft facial features + tiny frame + next level chink surgeons are helping big time i suppose-, unlike the unibro backliners neanderthal troons over here).

I don't even care about trannies, it's how they make every little thing they do daily always related to their mental illness who's so annoying. It's pushing attention whorism to levels i thought were unimaginable few years ago.
I never mentioned once my sexual orientation on /pmg/ since 2018 even though i post on a daily here. Because nobody cares and my dick is in no way influencing how shiny rocks are shiny or rocks.
So why do they feel the need to constantly rub it on everybody's face while nobody gives a fuck??

Speaking of shinies, pic rel just showed up in the mail. That was weird to hold somebody's else (dead?) silver tooth in my hand.
Terrific deal otherwise, i think i got it cheap bcuz it was titled "only silver items" while the US quarters are dated from the 90s, so it must have spooped some potential buyers.

But everything beside the US change turned out to be legit silver, so i messaged the seller and asked him to refund me the US coins at the weight's prorata i bought the lot for, and he obliged.

And in bonus, it turned out 2 of the coins are carrying a bit of numismatic value : the 100 bulgarian Leva from 1930, and a rare year for a 2 Francs Céres.

Tranny prettiness is largely correlated to rules, regulations, and social expectations around access to HRT. The most feminine trannies in the world typically come from places like Thailand where estrogen can be bought over the counter just like alka-seltzer or tums. Nightmare trannies are usually starting late and/or being given pathetic dosage schedules by doctors. In 30 years, don't be surprised when places like Tennessee and the UK have hideous trannies who hated themselves and transitioned at 40 and blue states, Canada, Australia have youngshit trannies who started HRT ages 14-25

The took everyone's gold and abandoned the gold standard, they removed silver backing, they have done nation wide PM confiscation, they have printed trillions, banks have just shut thier doors and turned off atms and bank apps cutting people off from thier funds, banks have even cut of access because they didn't like what some people said when they exercised thier free speech, brokers have cut off access to buy and sell stocks. The US gov, banks and brokers have been caught in countless scandals, fraud, etc. Dont get me started on the wars that are at their root about maintaining dollar dominance. Mark my words, it's the beginning of the end of the petrodollar, and semetic folx are panicing, looking for enough runway for a crash landing from their doomed ponzi scheme.

Also laughing at the blubber buttbabies ITT, crying that tranners are stackers. The hypocrisy and double standards they live by are truly pathetic. It's truly laughable how they fail to see it. It brings me great pleasure knowing that everything in their world will get worse for them due to their the mal-adjusted and hateful world views. Missing the point entirely, of course. It is not about trusting the BRICS. I don't. They are all from the same class of thieves as is the American government. But I DO trust gold. And I trust that the BRICS will do what is in their best interest. At the moment, their best interest is in issuing a trustworthy alternative currency to the FAILING USD. How do they make a currency trustworthy? The same way the USD initially gained trust - by being truly backed by PMs.

The fact that the BRICS are a coalition of governments that don't even trust each other actually works in favor of gold. They can't trust each other not to print unbacked currency so the only thing that can hold them all accountable to each other is real precious metal money.

And, to reiterate, the worse off the BRICS are economically, the more likely they form an agreement for a new trade currency and the less trustworthy they are the more likely the new currency must be gold. Picrel illustrates the point.
