Hi OP, I made that image.
While it measured correlation, it didn't detrend or adjust for seasonality, and it was only a snapshot in time, and values can drift.
tldr, it looks pretty but it's horseshit and not great

I'm actually more worried about the rest of the world more than America these days, they have plenty of their own problems but they seem relatively less fucked. From an investment standpoint I've recently only been buying American stocks just because I feel like I can't trust Europe or China worth half a damn and every other country is hardly a blip on the radar. India might be something someday but they're lagging China by about 15 years just because of how late their economic reforms were so they're going to be playing catch up for quite a while still.

I would rather use options and PM because I'm not a dumb dumb/poorfag. Also the standard deviation of SOXX is too high to support a 3x leveraged ETF long term. The underlying (SOXX) has actually outperformed SOXL over the past 5 years. As for QQQ, it historically doesn't support 3x daily leverage long term (although 2x is fine).

I think I explained this to /smg/mechanic a couple weeks ago. Pic related shows that SPY can take 3x daily leverage long term, and QQQ can do 2x. Why are they different? QQQ normally has higher volatility (you can look at IV, HV, standard deviation etc). It gets hurt more due to volatility drag. Current SPY implied volatility is 16, QQQ is 21, and SOXX is 29. So at best SOXX can take 2x daily leverage long term. That said, a 200 MA strategy or something similar might be effective. But I would stick with options for leverage

prices will probably never go down. The only get rich quick schemes that work are the lottery and gambling, but you are probably not lucky. Wealth is built up through investing over long periods. The way to make it to the upper class is to build a scalable business, but if you cant recognize a scam, you are not smart enough to do this. Best thing you can do is live frugally and invest as much as you can into sp500 index funds and send your children to good schools and universities and leave them as much money as you can when you die and start off a multigenerational wealth household.

What is there to discuss? The BBBY saga turned into another nothing burger and besides that nothing else is going on which is why the threads are dead as fuck lately. DRS numbers have stalled, the NFT market place is a bust, and RC clearly doesn't give a fuck. And why would he? He is already a billionaire and his stock investors are blind and loyal retards supporting him regardless of what he does (or doesn't).

Any actual discussion of the stock is shut down by shills and angry cultist holders (who are deep in the red) who accidentally work together in scaring away genuine conversation between people which is why all the old DD writers left. Meanwhile, reddit /r/superstonk has been compromised for a while now and /r/DRSyourGME got shutdown because the people running it doxxed a bunch of people like morons.

RC got lucky that last year the stock market was in the shitter but now that things are picking up he better fucking get on it with as otherwise people are going to dump GME and look into other investments.

>In economics and finance, a Glownigger Market is said to occur when a country's financial policymakers begin manipulating econometric data for their political benefit. [1] This may be accompanied by organized propaganda campaigns, hidden monetary easing, as well as other forms of financial repression, in order to reinforce the illusion that a nation's troubled economy is sound and resilient. [2, 3] In a Glownigger Market, stocks may seem to rally, even irrationally so, in the face of worsening economic conditions. However, while the goal of a Glownigger Market is to either delay or prevent a politically undesireable financial correction from occurring, the policy actions that led to the Glownigger Market invariably increase the severity of the subsequent financial crisis. By attempting to overpower healthy corrective market forces, a Glownigger Market causes extreme capital misallocation that can turn a minor economic downturn into a severe and protracted economic depression. Almost had a nervous breakdown after work today. I'm juggling trying to get these kids that work for me trained so they can take over the business while also making sure the owner who is a mentor to me also doesn't lose his business. We ended up getting a complaint today over a lab that wasn't swept. I said I would take care of it. Shortly after I found out for the second day in a row we weren't able to get into one of the buildings we clean because the badge reader in the buildings were malfunctioning. So the building has gone 2 days without being cleaned. To make matters worse, I was so stressed out over this I ended up sweeping the wrong lab. So the people are going to show up to work tomorrow and see that after they filed a complaint we still didn't fix the problem. That means overall when I wake up tomorrow i'm probably going to have like 12 scathing emails of random employees at this account all trying to rip my head off with my boss also sending me an email ripping my head off. If you're a NEET, never enter the work force. I'm incredibly good at handling pressure but it's got to a point where if mess up the tiniest little thing I get fucking crucified for it. I'm constantly on edge because of this. Thank fuck i'm done with this job at the end of August but there is no way to exit a contract with a company as big as the one I manage without leaving a trail of dead bodies on my way out destroying my reputation in the process. NEETs, stay NEETs. Life in the workforce is awful. Stay home and play vidya for as long as you can. The money isn't worth it. Thank fuck alcohol exists. It calmed my nerves and has calmed me down.

I already have a new job lined up. I'm just trying to carve a path for the people I leave behind so that their lives aren't ruined on my departure. It doesn't help my sister was diagnosed as bipolar, destroyed her marriage because of it, and we later found out she's a drug addict and is now in rehab. My brother is just finished battling cancer and has to essentially work for cash under the table and live in poverty to keep his medicaid because he still needs to go in for testing to make sure the cancer doesn't come back. My parent's are retired and I am seen as the rock in my family. I don't normally crack very easily, but I don't have anyone to turn to when shit gets real like this and it's sort of coming to a head at this moment. I never dreamed in a million years that so many peoples lives would depend on me. In the past, I would normally just change my number and run away, but you can't run away forever. You have to face your problems head on, but god damnit man i'm tired.

It's a young 18 year old girl and her 22 year old boyfriend. There are two of the sweetest human beings i've ever met. They both grew up in foster care. Neither graduated high school. This is it for them. If this doesn't work out for them, I don't know what will become of them. This is god's greatest test for me. After this, my life will likely be on easy mode because the job i'm moving to next is a nepotism paradise. My 2 cousins and my aunt are DEEP in the company and by me joining, we will be 4 deep. We will essentially take over the business via a hostile takeover. I will show no mercy to anyone when I get there and I will have my moment in the sun. On the 4th I was invited to a my friend's friend's house for drinks and fireworks. When I got there this guy had a beautiful house, 3 four wheelers, a polaris gator, a beautiful property, and a wonderful family. My friends brother lives down the way out in the country so we hopped in the gator and he drove me to his house. He also had a beautiful house with a nice property. He's also younger than me. For a split second all of my insecurities showed themselves at once. I realized that I have made every wrong turn in life I could ever make. Not that super leveraged scalps are good ideas, but even for normal swing trading, if you can eat .1% here and there, I'll take it.

It's centered on three things.
Education makes people more productive, and able to produce higher value work items. On the flip side, it's unamerican and not like gosh intended.
Then there's public infrastructure, because that's a multiplicative force. If you're in a shithole and cars can barely drive down the street without breaking, internet barely functions, and people have mass depression due to dysfunction, the economy slows down proportionately. Investing in a multiplcative factor that smooths out things.
And finally market competition. Top down government control like some kind of communist bureaucracy, because it turns out big companies can get powerful enough to challenge governments, and that's kinda bad for most people, including governments

Also friendshoring and whatnot, because the China situation is a clusterfuck

I got the call options, we're going to gap up this weekend, so if you buy the calls today, not only will you be able to short from higher next week, but you will also have more powder for a bigger kaboom when the time comes to go short and leave them holding the short end of the stick with the bags on the end.
