return it to the owner.

>> No.55485514

I don't ever look at the ground, i trust the ground to always rise to meet my feet.
Your debit card would have to fall from the sky, where my attention is entirely focused.

The obvious answers is throw in the trash so nobody finds it or mail it to the bank that issued it. Realistically it will be deactivated anyways so I'll just destroy and bin it.
Debit card and credit card fraud is for retards and poorfags.

Do a 360 and walk away

>> No.55486082

See if anyone nearby looks like they dropped it, if it's a local bank I'd return it to the closest branch office, if it's a big chain I'll just throw it away.

I find them all the time at my job, lost wallets in the lost and found. I hold it for about a week then ship it to the address on the ID. Write “lost wallet postage due” on it and they have to pay postage. That only works if your mail man is cool tho

Found an entire wallet on the ground once in college
>Walking extremely far to parking garage after classes end
>Find wallet on ground
>No way I'm walking back to lost and found just want to get through an hour of traffic to get home and if I delay any further it's going to be even longer with how crowded leaving campus is
>Pick up wallet since anyone else is likely going to steal it
>Figure I can bring it to lost and found next week when I go to class
>Opened wallet, ~100 dollars in cash
>many different cards and what not
>ID
>Use ID to find owner
>Contact owner on FB
>Ask if she wants to meet in a public place like the cafeteria or if she'd prefer I drop it off at lost and found
>She says the cafeteria is fine
>Show up at the cafeteria looking for her
>She's with 4 friends, all glaring at me like I'm some creep
>She looks terrified when she sees me
>Hand her the wallet
>"Here you go if it was me I'd probably cancel and get new cards who knows if anyone else saw it before I found it"
>She snatches wallet
>Immediately goes through it to make sure I didn't steal anything
>Barely mutters a "thanks"
>I leave feeling like I did something wrong and I'm some kind of massive freak or something
Decided if I ever see another wallet on the ground I'm just leaving it there. All I was expecting was a genuine thank you and that's it. Told my girlfriend at the time and she laughed and said she would have just stolen it if she found it, but if it was hers she would have been really happy to get it back.

One of my biggest regrets was when a kid with his dad knocked on my door saying he found my roommates wallet on the ground. He returned it and I was really stoned at the time and said “thanks” and shut the door real quick. It still have $60 in it. I wish I handed it to him. It’s like 15 years later and I still think of that

>> No.55486328

I've never lost a wallet but I keep around 50-100 in it and I'd just give all the cash to anyone who returned it. I'm pretty wealthy (6 figs and lots of assets) so 100 is peanuts for me at this point. I wouldn't expect anyone to give me the money though, for me just doing the deed and receiving a thank you would make me feel good. Never picking up a lost wallet again though. Not my problem.

That’s why you just pocket the cash and return the rest or throw it in a trash can. No way they can prove you didn’t find it with the cash already stolen

I work at a gas station and we always find cards left a pumps
We used to just saved them in hopes of the owners coming back. 70% of them never do.
What I've been doing is just cutting them in half with scissors and then throwing them in the trash.
Had this one guy leave his card here, I destroyed it, and an hour later called seeing if he left it here. Told him no.
It was around Christmas aswell.

Unfortunately, this type of reaction only happens when the woman finds you unattractive. If you were good looking, she'd be slobbering on your knob and be so happy. It sucks, but the black pill is tough to swallow.

>> No.55488308

>>55488272
Yes I'm aware and it's not a blackpill. I have a gf and my gf then and now are both cuter than the girl I was handing the wallet too. She wasn't even good looking other than not being fat.

at a job i had when i was younger one time somebody left a wallet with $1000 cash in it, and nothing else. no id, no bank cards, nothing. i told the girl i was working with about it, and she thought maybe somebody was setting up a trap or filming it to see what would happen. so we just put it in a drawer and told nobody about it. after like 3+ months nothing ever happened to it, and she was like do we just split the $1000 now lol? but we didnt because both of us felt wrong about taking money. so we just left it in the drawer forever and told nobody about it. maybe now years later it is still sitting in that drawer.

destroy it and dispose of it for them bc that's what I would want someone to do. They are replaced for free 99.9% of the time and a new one would most like be on the way already for the owner.

yeah saw a faggoty millenial beard-faced hipster drop a fat wad of cash prob about $800 folded in half right out of his wallet as he is putting it back in his pocket.

Contemplate just picking it up and taking it bc he looks like an annoying faggot that i would hate BUT realize Im with goody two shoes new gf. Pick up the money and inform hipster he dropped it and hand it out to him.

Hipster faggot gives me the same stare like "you robbed me face" doesn't say a would and just snatches the money. I reply "you're welcome asshole" and walk out before ordering.

If you find something of value, thats not yours, you shoud turn it in to the police, the police actually has a lost and found division, if people go to the police and tell them they lost x, y or z and someone turned it in it's the end of it.
