because they have larger moves and lower entry cost in exchange for being a higher risk. once u have more money, you can take smaller risks with smaller gains that are safer than memecoins

examples:
comp up 48% in last 3 months but might dump by 300% any time
bch up 116% in last 3 months but might dump by 250% any time
btc up 10.45% in last 3 months and a very small chance it will dump 50% to retest 15k

when u have enough money to make worthwhile money on BTC reliably, you would invest in it for its relative safety compared to shitcoins. when u are too broke to matter anywhere, your only chance to become a btc trader is a moonshot on a shitcoin so u can afford to make money trading btc.

nothing is sure, but the chances of turning your poorfag 1k into 10k is far greater swinging volatile shitters hoping for a few gains of 3x than putting your 1k into BTC and waiting til btc hits 300,000k in 2070 or whatever schizos say. it is not that altcoins are better but poor people just have no other option to turn nothing into a bag of money.
