Scaling infinitely isn't the sole consideration; one must ponder over its many facets.

Is it truly the destiny of financial systems to rely on a blockchain-based central banking system (Proof of Stake) where no innovation can arise due to the inherent limitations mirroring those of its predecessors?

Are we meant to place our trust in EVM based Smart Contracts, despite their apparent vulnerabilities and repeated breaches? This risk is elevated due to the Turing-completeness of these contracts. The Pact architects, with their banking backgrounds and experience in financial software development, aimed for a more user-friendly, secure, and cost-effective alternative to Solidity. This is crucial given the complexities of smart contracts, where one isn't just building a dapp but deploying an entire business model, and Pact offers a simpler solution than Solidity in this context.

Is the financial future truly going to be controlled by a network of 40 or 200 nodes? Granted, one cannot expect a system capable of processing 500-1000 Transactions Per Second (TPS) to be free. Even a centralized system would require substantial resources. However, the Proof of Work (PoW) model at least offers anyone the opportunity to freely join the network, an aspect that can never be realized in a PoS model.
Can we really entrust our financial future to a Layer 2 system, which compromises the assurances, censorship resistance, and trustless nature of the original PoW design?
Is it fair to operate systems where Venture Capitalists control almost half of the total supply?

Layer-1 scaling in crypto presents an exceptional opportunity for growth in the sector, and to me, Kadena stands out as the most logical choice. Its solution is unsurpassed in elegance and robustness, offering the best that I have observed so far. Nothing else compares.

I would like to see Kadena LLC push for a cpu testnet stresstest with 1000 chains and maximum load run smoothly for at least one month.
If they can do that I will buy KDA again.
It is all I ask for. Please pass on my desire, thank you.

You should be more worried about how people will be able to set up the network in the real world more than how possible it is to add chains to this network that demonstrated that it can add chains to the network

>bypassing wifi strength limit for EU countries is illegal
Lmao they think it’s better to buy 3 devices for same coverage? Very environmental, nice try "regulators". Same result, more money, more ewaste. If anything NOT breaking this law is immoral.

My router is about 1 tenth of the speed of my ethernet connection if more than one thing is connected to it at once and I don't care. I doubt you even have a usecase for faster internet than the cheapest router available can provide.

>> No.55466499

I don’t really care much about the wifi speed since all I do on wifi is use phone and laptop to watch stuff, the wireless card isn’t even the fastest one available, but I noticed I was getting slightly worse reception in some very specific parts of my home and it annoyed me for obvious stability reasons. Mildly increasing the coverage by living in a United States microscopic free state inside my country should now fix this and I noticed I also get more speed at longer distances which is a nice bonus, but not something that will affect me. I’m just confused why they’re telling me it’s illegal to not create more ewaste. Clearly this makes no sense and they set the regulatory limit too low. I understand why it’s not unlimited, but they really went overboard which only makes people either A) buy more junk and band pollute just as much if not even more, B) teach people how to do crime

Big house is bloat.
>Clearly this makes no sense and they set the regulatory limit too low.
They should err on the low side knowing that people will ignore the rules so that people in apartments don't make their neighbours wifi unusable. If you lived in a city you would understand. Some old devices of mine like my wii and my pstv can't even find my wifi network and had to be manually configured in my last three apartments because my neighbours are sending out too many signals.
