I thought part of it was related to Arbitrum because it was hyped forever as something that would pump Link but in reality it just makes Ethereum even more dominant as the best smart contract chain while link is sidelined...even more oddly chainlink vrf and maybe some feeds weren't even on Arbitrum from day one so I have no idea as a nolinker why that connection was so hyped up

Well, according to the third paragraph of this BOA report tokenized assets are already being used. If a DLT platform is able to settle $1.4 trillion a month worth of tokenized repos, then it doesn't seem like chainlink is playing any role in that. And if they are, the token certainly isn't being used given that it's currently a whopping $6.60.
