Literally what the fuck am I supposed to do at this point? Should I abandon university as a dream altogether and fuck off somewhere else? A global real estate crash would be like Christmas morning for me, but everyone on here is convicted that housing will never crash, so what do you even do in these situations? The fact that universities here are unironic literal scams that pull in jeets is pretty sad, and it feels like I only joined at the absolute worst fucking moment in Canadian academic history

Someone said to fuck off innawoods to resource/lumber extraction, because those are the only leaf jobs that still pay and in areas without need $47M to open a mortgage.

Nothing will change until people realize they're fucked either way and just do what they want. Eventually someone is going to wise up, squat on some vacant land in a city for a few months, call it their residence, start building shit on it, ignore the city when they say they don't have the right permits, and shoot anyone who tries to stop them or knock down their shit for trespassing. If you're a leaf just getting started, you may want to reconsider. The time to study was 2008-2014, but our schools have all become profit driven sweatshops since then. The admins are filled with picrel and the students are all young jeets being used as debt cattle. Our government will continuously flood in 1m+ jeets/yr and the cities aren't gonna get any better in the ~4yrs you plan on studying. Either try to find a low population uni, or consider something else like blue collar resource work. Either way, life is suffering in the east coast, so I'd fuck off from there

there are so many resources at a uni campus, you can get by with freeish showers, bathrooms, wifi, kitchens, food/etc by making friends with people who live on campus in the dorms.
