I have to do extremely high risk trades, not because I am greedy, but because my family didn't build generational wealth for me, and thus I cannot "play it safe" as "playing it safe" will get me nowhere, as there is no wealth in the family for me to "play it safe" with.

Just work for 50 years so you'll have enough wealth to retire when you're old.

Im going to be honest with you bro, when I am 70 years old, I dont care how much money I have.

Not sure why people here are so obsessed with being comfortable and wealthy as an old man.

If I am an old man, at that point, I do not care if I am poor or rich.

The goal is to make it when I am relatively young and can still enjoy it.

Same, holy shit. They literally got everything handed on a silver platter. My parents bought their house +30 years ago and still have a mortage. My dad barely worked most of his life and my mother kept the family together for work but only had $2k for me to study (which didn't even cover my first year). Resulting in me renting and working on removing my study debt.

My parents-in-law did the same, my mother-in-law barely worked and my gf needed to do all the chores in house. Meanwhile her dad was in the army and retired at 55.

Her parents and my parents have loads of equity, savings and time. If they partly remortgage their house and give it to us we could live in a good neighborhood. If they both took 1 day a week care of their 3 grandkids we could save $20k a year. But they prefer to spend their money to frivolous things like long vacations, vehicles and luxurious home improvements.

I can't understand it, they could give their grandkids such a better life but their rather see them grow up in some getto since every decent place in my country cost +$600k.

I have kids, I can't understand how you can do this to your kids. I'm already saving so that each of my kids can study without any debt. And they will all get some start money to buy their house. And if I'm blessed with grandchildren they can come multiple days a week at my our house and we will take care of them.

Fucking boomers man

You can play it safe while still building generational wealth. You're jsut too stupid and preocuppied with pointing fingers, blaming and feeling sorry for yourself to learn how.

Get on that grindset, faggot. Those who just inherit instead of learning to build on their own and as a result never struggled are empty husks of human beings. I don't know a single person of 'old money' who isn't fucked up in the head.

If you choose not to read, it is a choice you make to stay poor by refusing to pick up tools someone has delivered to you from the fucking shed.

DCAing only works if you can put away a good amount.

Small contributions for the next 40 years equaling to $2,000,000 in 2060 isn't gona do shit. That 2 million will be fucking nothing at that stage.
