I don't know why anyone would buy used. You save like 10-15% for a car with 30k miles, shit tires that were probably swapped out, unknown care history, and was probably driven by a woman or a minority before you bought it. The used car industry has done a great job gaslighting people into believing they're getting a good deal if they're buying used and buying new,is a waste of money. Utter nonsense.

Cope retard I bought an old toyota 4runner for $3000 years ago and I have never had to fix anything besides basic maintenance. I can literally sell the car for more then I bought it for

Have fun paying $500 a month + interest for a depreciating asset lmao

>private sale, 98k miles, 6spd manual, bone stock
>8 years later I have only needed basic maintenance like oil changes and brakes, all of which I did myself
>No debt, no interest, low maintenance cost
>car is now worth 8k

Now compare that to my coworker
>puts 15k down on a new q50
>pays hundreds of dollars a month on the car note
>has to pay for full coverage insurance because its financed
>has to get it serviced at the dealership for an outrageous cost to retain the warranty
>his battery died and his car "lost its programming" so he had to pay $500 for someone to plug in a thumbdrive
>by the time he pays off his car, it will have depreciated by 70%

Imagine buying a new car. Did you let the salesman fuck your wife too?

Fucking boomers I swear

Buying a used car is like buying btc at the bottom.
Cars dont depreciate forever to 0$ they hit a certain floor level and then they stop.

Shit like used camrys that drive have a floor price of 3-5k and at that level you could always sell it back for what you bought it for or a little more.

>muh wear you'll have to keep fixing it
you could literally buy 10 used cars for for the price of one new car.
When you buy a used car for 3k you are still buying 30k worth of engineering and materials.
You are getting way more value then what you pay, its way more bang for your buck.
When you buy a new car you lose 20% as soon as you drive off the lot. New cars are for suckers

This is proof that buying used cars is better then new cars.
All functional used cars go up in usd simply due to inflation.
Poorfags always need a car to drive so there is obviously a certain floor around 3-5k for a functional car.
For my car I paid 3k in 2017 and now i can sell it for 4-5k but that has nothing to do with the actual car itself since 5k in 2023 is probably the same purchasing power that 3k had in 2017.

There are cars that went up in price due to becoming sought after collectibles.
Lot of people prefer old well made cars to the modern glue and plastic filled garbage.
90s toyotas are bulletproof and have far superior build quality to modern cars
Dont forget that 80s and 90s jap cars were made and designed when japan was at the height of its financial prosperity
