But I mean honestly, as long as you don't dwell on it too much and just chalk it up as a mistake, it's not really the end of the world.
The biggest issue I see with people on /biz/ is that there are apparently a fair amount of people who unironically think link is some kind of golden ticket. And they use that as an excuse to be lazy and do nothing, as if they've already made it.
I don't really understand why people can't just hold link and move on with their lives rather than buying into the hopium.
There's a lot of solid criticism that can be made about the token in general, but it seems people enjoy the idea of link and this fantasy that was created here a few years ago more than they enjoy actually planning for various outcomes and futures.
It's kinda insane really. But it does seem more and more people are waking up now that they're staked. No one actually has to worry about selling or not if they're staked.
Staking and moving on with life is probably the best thing people can do at this point. If it works out, it works out. Great.
If not, then you can't do anything about it anyway so there's no point in worrying about it and moving forward is the only rational thing to do.

well, in hindsight it's always easy to see what's a good idea and what isn't. at the time, there were many that thought unstaking would come soon or that the price would increase. when hype get'sthe better of you, it's good to rememberthe basics: who holds the biggest stack and what are their incentives. in the case of link that's chainlink labs and their incentive is to sell as much as possible at any price they can find buyers
