Inflation expectations; because a long term bond is a long term loan and the lender wants a positive REAL return on the amount they give

And second is growth expectation, if growth(gdp) is high, loans/debt/credit will be in high demand and so lenders can charge more, especially if it's risky like in developing countries

The fed has very little control over long term bond yields. They are almost entirely controlled by lenders and lendees negotiating loan contracts

>Is this it?
Nope. While people are rightfully nervous, the market fundamentals haven't changed. There has to be a large event that shocks the market into being bullish or bearish. It doesn't matter what the event is, whether it's Chinese aggression, total Russian defeat, another pandemic, or a bank failure - but it has to be significant.
Since the 4m and 6m treasuries are still the highest, I expect some slight/moderate bull activity until Oct-Dec, then something will break and we'll plunge down to 240-300 SPY. I know that sounds extreme, but if we're following picrel, that's where it is (as well as fib levels).
If I had to bet on something specifically, then interest rates will continue upwards, boomers that bought investment properties on collateral will realize they can't service their debts, and start foreclosing. This would tank the equities market out of fear of contagion, and bring crypto down low, too. At this point, Blackrock's BTC etf would go live and then they can swoop in and own a huge chunk of it as well as single detached homes. I firmly believe the great reset will happen, it's just a matter of specifics and when.

I don't think it matters what breaks. Look at 2008, it started with subprime defaults, but had a ripple effect across derivatives and other markets. Something will break eventually and it will drag the market down with it. I'm trying to move to fixed income and cut losses and take profits now, even if it means missing what I perceive to be a bull trap. You can absolutely make money both ways and it will probably rally for 2-3 months first

My aggressive investment account (30% portfolio): Up 6% YTD
My conservative investment account (70% portfolio): Up around 30% YTD

I think that aggressive choices are a meme. You do a lot better when betting safely because losers drag down your overall performance. Yeah I have gains of 60% in my aggressive account but they're weighed down hard by stuff that cancels it out with losses or hard crabbing. Choosing something with smaller but consistent growth is way better. I think I'm just gonna sell all this garbage and put it into my conservative main account

You're not going to get any actual legal advice here. Having looked into it a bit in the past, this is my rough understanding:

The naming conventions required may depend on the jurisdiction you incorporate in. LLC is a basic structure you can declare to protect against personal assumption of business debts, but it can be organized as a corporation, s-corp, passthrough partnership, or a sole proprietorship which is essentially a non-entity where you just pay taxes as normal but have a separate business name (and liability protection).
I believe hedge funds are generally structured as partnerships, although they tend to be more complex and have multiple layers, sometimes involving international subsidiaries to minimize tax burden.

As others have said, for you as an individual trader this stuff is most likely a complete waste of time. At least that's the conclusion I came to. As a sole proprietor forming a disregarded entity, it's just added documentation and fees for little to no real benefit. Treating as a passthrough entity will mean even more documentation, sending yourself a k-1 which will end up flowing back to the same taxes. You could maybe bypass state income taxes this way, but they probably have exceptions to close such loopholes. Corporations are taxed at a flat rate of 21% which may be lower than your tax rate, but then to cash anything out you're either paying yourself salary or dividends - both taxed.
You'd also be dealing with self-employment tax of ~15% on top of every other tax. This is social security + medicare that you get to bypass contributing into as long as you treat yourself as a passive investor.
On the upside, with many of these structures you can potentially contribute large portions of any profits into 401ks or equivalent - around 60k is the cap.

That's another factor. You could keep your longer term positions outside the entity, but you'd have to know ahead of time what those might be.
Technically as long as you don't realize the gain or receive dividends from your stocks, there should be no taxes even at corp level. Think Berkshire Hathaway with their stock holdings. Objectively it's inferior to holding them personally though - at some point you'll almost certainly have to pay those corp taxes to see any liquidity benefit from the gains. Only alternative would be to take a margin loan against those stocks, and hope that the gains will outgrow the margin interest in perpetuity.

In truth the best way to avoid taxes is simply to head to puerto rico. If you're bringing in enough gains to care about any of this shit, it could be worth it to spend a few years down there and pay into their cap gains exemption program. I'm not quite there yet - maybe next decade.
