Every single alt follows the exact same market trendm they are all scams and web 3.0 is not on the Ethereum clown chain. Also definitions are made up and change all the time but keep proving how big of a brainlet you are. XMR might could be an "alt" in the literal sense of the term in comparison to something like Bitcoin but it doesn't check any other box as far as reality is concerned. Gold is good only if you have so much wealth or such a great income that you can't figure out ways to invest it to get a good return.
Or in a situation with really high inflation.

It's not an illiquid asset, but you can't easily recoup its full initial value if you sell shortly after unless its price has gone up considerably.
Also, depending on the country, it's getting harder to buy it anonymously. Yes, you could buy it face-to-face from an individual but then you expose yourself to all kinds of scammers, and you have to learn how to verify its authenticity.

So basically it's not even an investment. It's a hedge for you to put money you won't need in a very very long time.

Silver is better since the price is artificially suppressed and manipulated, so hedge funds are subsidizing your purchase. We don't know how long the manipulation will last though. Could be decades.
