I dont really buy it to be honest, looking at the graph you yourself are posting as evidence, over 20 years into your test and the leveraged gains are still dropping down to the same level as the regular s&p500. The differences are only becoming apparent on timespans longer than 40 years, not only that but you've conspicuously started the graph immediately after a 90% drop in the stock market, literally any portfolio looks good backtested through the 20th century. What you can't guarantee is that the next 100 years won't contain even a single 33% drop at any time, because your 3x leverage would immediately be obliterated.

>Ars notes that replacing Reddit moderators isn't so simple. "The free work Reddit moderators do has been valued at $3.4 million annually, and as detailed on the r/hentai subreddit, the work mods do is both complex and extensive," reports Ars. "Reddit itself calculated that manual mod removals represented 30.9 percent of content removed in 2022. Reddit would be a different website, one perhaps incapable of functioning, without the tens of thousands of volunteers it uses to keep content safe, enjoyable, relevant, and valuable. Relying on volunteers saves the unprofitable company plenty of money."

It's 12% right now.

That chart is a steaming pile of bullshit. Throughout most of history the cost of leverage would've been substantially higher. Not to mention commissions from constant rebalancing.
There is one singular period in history where the short term funds rate traded at negative real yields over an extended timeframe. Coincidentally, it's the one period where we have also have empirical data on some of these leveraged ETF products in real world action.
Even during that period which also happened to be a massive bull run with massive multiple expansion, performance meaningfully lagged the models expectation.

6 figs is literally nothing. It depends on your age, naturally, but 6 figs is basically 2-3 years of savings max for anyone with a real job. Within the realm of 6 figs, there's a whole 10x factor difference from the bottom to the top. Given the exponential nature of wealth, ~50% of the time someone brings this up it means that they have less than 200k. The bias is likely much stronger in practice, considering those with larger ports tend to specify that its "mid" or "upper" 6 figs.
Look up Bedford's law if you're curious.

Regardless, the real point of that post flew right over your head. The original comment was a pointless attempt to demean facts based on a baseless assumption of net worth. I responded in stride. I suppose I shouldn't be surprised you couldn't grasp that.
The idea that someone like me would've taken time out of my life to contemplate the costs and potential benefits of leverage in portfolio management with a personal account size below 6 figs is laughable. If your account is seriously that small, you'd be better off focusing more on growing your career. It's fine if you really enjoy investing and want to learn, but you're not going to see much immediate value. Trading is another story, although from what I've seen most of the traders with 5 fig ports around here are just degen gamblers. Otherwise, they'd rapidly see their portfolios grow towards 6 figs.

tradingview's financial information tab distills the important numbers in the SEC filings, I use that for very basic fundamental research as well as corporate bond yields relative to competitors and/or similarly structured companies. Really, fundamental research is more for screening out the stinky shitcos rather than finding gems. Corporate bonds I think are very underappreciated, fixed income investors by the nature of how bonds work rarely ever misprice bonds aside from maybe some rare opportunities in the junk bond market

Actual engineer who designs and certifies safety-critical systems here.
The main problem with the game controller is that you don't know how it works or how it fails. If some random piece of embedded software in the controller fucks up because it wasn't designed with safety in mind, then the submarine sinks and you die. And when they do fail, all of your "backups" will probably all fail in the same way at the same time.

But meanwhile, I know how a switch works. I know the ways it can fail, and I can monitor and inspect it for quality. And I can make sure that it comes from a good supply chain. Or if I use multiple different input methods which use different technologies, then it's less likely that they will both fail at the same time.
But even then, for something like this you would need multiple redundant failsafes that don't require any human input or even software control to activate. For example, never working on anything like this myself, maybe they would use some external arm which is designed to corrode away and drop some weights after a few hours in the sea.

Mega Tech is insanely bullish, why? Well, because they are in an insanely GOOD POSITION in the market. Sure, the high rates affect tech the most but guess what m8? The smaller tech companies are affected far more adversely than mega tech, meaning cash will flow only into the largest and most well-positioned tech stocks... which is why pretty much only those 10 or so mega techs are leading NASDAQ while many others are far away from ATH. No-one can compete with Microsoft, NVDA, Broadcom, AMD, Tesla, Amazon, Google, and Apple.
The high rates obviously haven't had the intended effect of reducing spending and consoomerism as that is up. People simply have way too much money on their pathetic hands. Plus, thanks to Biden they don't even have to repay their loans. Additional bullish factors.
There is also the fact that growth semi stocks tend to outperform hugely during recessions as "they reached their bottom and can only go up form here".
FFS, semis fell like crazy last year so obviously they would also massively recoil. This is semis we are talking about, the single most world-changing technology the world has seen (past 100 years). And now with AI? Everyone wants in

Bullish 3-6 months. This pause was a mistake. The inflation is just gonna become more sticky, forcing additional and more aggressive rikes. But that doesn't really matter for now. The only true answer is : margin account, compound effect, sell if daily close below 200ma at the last day of each month (this way you capture only full bull trends and avoid -50% drawdowns)
Invest monthly on max 10 long term uptrend dividends stocks, keep some vanguard and you're set.

China stimulating their economy to this degree is bearish, it's just adding fuel to the narrative that their economy's entering a long slowdown. I'm not a "CHINA IS GONNA COLLAPSE ANY MINUTE NOW" retard, but it's starting to look undeniable that they're entering their low growth period about a decade before most people were predicting. People put way too many of their eggs in that basket expecting high growth for at least the next several years, so it's going to drag on the global economy for some time until things get more properly diversified away from China.

the goal of the republican revolutions against absolute monarchies were never to ''give power to the people'. IT was to remove the legal caste system and base society on commerce and bureaucracy. 250 years alter, it still works.
They did this with feeding the peasants the narrative that the merchants and bureaucrats will care about the peasants, and the peasants should care about t''politics'' and ''society''.
The peasants being turbo retards, they fell for it.
Now the caste system will be re-introduced with the metaverse.
Peasants will spend their lives on their phones, will get digitized UBi and will spend it on weed and e-whores.

I don't know enough about how markets react to information that's hard for normies to understand. It's a big enough bubble that every major tech company is going to have executives profit off selling before THE BIG REVEAL that AI as in machine learning isn't a universal solution to literally every problem and that it makes so many mistakes using it for any important task is asking for trouble. Only tech enthusiasts understand that the word AI only means machine learning or neural network and from that population only full blown programmers understand that the potential applications of both ideas aren't infinite. Tesla going "we're gonna add AI to full self driving" when they were already using neural net for image processing (a pretty common use of the technology) is hilarious. Just using the term 'AI' as stand in for 'cool and hip' because 'machine learning image processing' doesn't quite roll off the tongue as well.

So let me see if I got this right.
Simple indicators, things like crossing the RSI, work better on small-cap stocks than larger-cap stocks, and are utterly useless on indices. So if you try to swing (T)QQQ based on RSI/SMA action you'll be heemed, but it might have a positive rate of return if you use it to time reversals on the price action for individual mid-caps or something. Is that more or less correct? I've been playing with RSI a bit and the only time it's worked even a little is when timing purchases on mid-caps that have suffered a big dip.
>>55371509
I have a hard time finding good penny stock plays. I've tried the following strategies.
>Buy after a major pump starts, sell before it crashes
This feels bad because, obviously, I don't know when to sell. If there's anticipation of a big reveal, then of course you can get out the day before i.e. sell the news, but these golden opportunities are scarcer than I thought. Also, you have to trawl stocktwits to find the retard legions who comprise these schemes and I feel stupider just being near them.
>Buy months-out puts on optionable penny stocks that have already pumped
This felt better at first, because it removes timing. Most penny stock pumps won't last, so most puts should make money when the huge price pump disappears. I didn't realize that optionable doesn't mean it's liquid. The volumes on the option chains for these pieces of shit is soooo low that it doesn't really work anymore.
Someday I still plan to find a working strat for penny stocks. I might not be smarter than Wall Street but I'm DEFINITELY smarter than people who use rocket emojis.

I just audit the prices and keep track of them like an autistic. My own personal project. But it's been 100% accurate in predicting inflation reports. Inflation comes in waves, and it even goes down in waves while going up from time to time. I think the Fed is fully aware of this, and knows The next core inflation is not going to look very good. That's why they said there would be two more increases when there was no indication at the time that was going to be needed.

Why do you think France's index is holding up so well? The main driver is quite literally a make up company. Every single woman in civilized society uses make-up which usually consists of at least 5 products, each of which need to replenished quite often. Plus, you need night creams, eye creams, make-up removers, moisturizers, hair products, nail products, lips products, various different peeling acids/exfoliation agents, and subsequent skin improvement agents that need to fix the mess you have produced by applying so much make-up.
Anyone with an IQ of higher than 50 has realized a long time ago that this business is a GOLD MINE because both men and women place the highest importance on appearance. And women know men are stupid enough to be fooled by make-up.
Yeah, this business will never ever not be profitable

i knew it was good just didnt know it was that good. Im seriously gonna look into it (or at least target women) its casting a wide net on the consumer base but i think its easier to enter if youre in the right industry to begin with. kinda like picking stocks, easier if you pick one from a strong industry given the business cycle conditions rather than some laggard.
