If you have 30k just buy an entire bitcoin. Then spend the rest of the money you make this year on alts. If they succeed you'll be rich and if you fail you'll at least have like 100k from the btc as a hedge. That's what I would do anyway. at this time you want to be in the big two (btc and eth) and accumulate stuff you believe in, link provides a unique case here as it has such a lot of backing but sitting at 25. the r/r is very nice on it, far, far better than eth when you look at those market caps
as the bull begins you will want to allocate a portion to new and shiny projects, particularly those with lots of vc backing as they go the highest
as bull tails off then back in to btc, eth, link AND usd
i played the last bull run very well apart from not setting aside enough into usd as the market bottoms out
then again at some point we will actually see proper adoption of the tech, things stay the same (four year cycle) until they don't

DCA is retarded. With shit that is volatile its better just to buy large loads all at once. Just try to buy the bottom and dont fomo in. Personally its always easier for me to hold when I am in the green. As opposed to trying to buy down my costs while I am in the red. BTC price will only be going up relative to where it is now. Just depends on opportunity costs on other markets. SPY could beat out BTC in gains this year. But buying BTC now is good if you want to sell in 2024 2025, instead of slowly DCA when btc is 40k plus you willl be wishing you just had dumped 30k in when it was 25k BTC

Use what is shilled here as a barometer. Pepe takes off. I buy into whatever 4chan related meme. Bog, Kek, etc.. I also start watching dextools new coin listings. I see 4chan, eightchan, 2chan coins getting listed. I spread 1k-2k across all these coins. If you are buying once you see it on 4chan you are too late for insane 100x gains. You could still get 2-5x but now you need to invest 5-10k for a decent return and you maybe more nervous about it.

2017fag here. DCA into BTC. No, the new greater fool scam alts are not here yet. Maybe arbitrum but you should have gotten in at ICO or airdropped. When the new thing is here we will know. Last time it was crypto finance of 2020. That bancor jew witch tried to do the same thing in 2017 but it didn't really take off until 2020 so there is always risk and don't go all in on one alt. Most people aren't willing to put in the time it takes to figure out what link is all about and even less are able to sit through a few years of price action that's difficult to stomach.
It's taken an extreme amount of time and countless mistakes to get to a point where I'm able to be patient with my usd, find the right entry points, and take profits at the right time.
Through this last bear market, I've been able to accumulate a good amount of btc, eth and link to the point where I'm content holding what I have going into the next bull.
I'm still making link buys though because I don't feel like I could ever have enough of that
