Very common pattern in tech startups, issue more shares, pour the money into growing revenue at a greater cost, shareholders get double whammied from first equity dilution, then earnings dilution. Then the company reports earnings and go "SEE LOOK HOW FAST WE ARE GROWING, OUR REVENUE IS UP 25% ON THE QUARTER!" when its literally just them printing and dumping shares into a terribly inefficient, profitless venture with a market 1000x their scale full of 100 other competitors doing the same thing, monetizing their shareholders like paypigs in the process.

Maybe 2-3 companies actually hit the lindy threshold and break into rapidly expanding EPS growth causing the shareholders who stuck through the violent dumping to finally wind up in massive profits.
