Hmmmmm.....Not even the central bank of Germany or EU? Just DB?

I guess it's over USAbros. I KNEEL before our German masters. I mean it's fine if only DB said the US is doomed but Credit Suisse also said so last year:

>So now comes a prediction that the next economic slide will be rip-snorting bad. Zoltan Pozsar, Credit Suisse’s global head of short-term interest-rate strategy, declared in a research paper that the current high inflation will require an L-shaped recession—a vertical plunge followed by a long period of stagnation.
>Fed Chair Jerome Powell is aiming for a “soft landing” for the economy as he raises interest rates to bring down inflation, now running at a torrid 9.1% annual pace. But to Pozsar, “there is nothing ‘soft’ about a vertical drop.”

A quick technical question for experts anon here :

I want to invest in KO long term is it better to :
-buy the stock now (considering the price is good long term which is the case for me) and earn $ with regular dividends
-Sell put options let's say a 1 year put option contract : which means if KO increases in 1year I still buy it low I collect the premium but I don't get the dividend I guess ? What's the risk involved overall ?

What strategy had the best return without risking much ? Better to buy & hold no ?

I don't trade options because I know it's a gambler fallacy product but if I can earn money thanks to degen gamblers I'm open to sell contracts I guess ?

KO goes down below the strike price and you either repurchase the option for higher or are forced to baghold.

Options are for hedging or simulating leverage. Selling puts means you're an insurance salesman and hope the person's house doesn't actually burn down.

I'm happy to baghold if it goes lower & I still get the premium. And if I simply bought the stock higher I'd be down too.

So which one is better in returns :
- buy hold & collect divs
- sell options & collect premium (but not the div I guess since I don't physically own the stock)

>So selling puts might be risky on a volatile mismanaged midcap stock, but other than that I get all the benefits if I sell puts on a monster like coca ?
This might be priced into the option you're selling (implied volatility is low so the premium is low) so selling options on a non-volatile stock might not give you a lot of money. If you're selling a cash covered put, you're also tying up this cash until you repurchase it or the expiry date. You might want to compare the expected return to what something like near 0 risk BIL pays (and you can sell BIL any time if an opportunity knocks).

>-Sell put options let's say a 1 year put option contract : which means if KO increases in 1year I still buy it low I collect the premium but I don't get the dividend I guess ? What's the risk involved overall ?
You wouldn't want to sell a year out. Theta decay starts 60 days or less. 30-45 days is considered optimal. If KO stays above the strike you sold at expiration then you simply keep the premium, no shares.
Puts are priced for the possibility that the stock is going to 0 before expiration.
>What strategy had the best return without risking much ? Better to buy & hold no ?
If KO bulls hard enough to beat the premium then yes. Any other scenario selling a put would beat buying 100 shares because you collected premium that outweighs the stocks performance like if it crabbed or went down.

What I would do if I was you is sell 30-45 dte puts to get assigned and accumulate a position of shares. Then wait for a pump and start selling calls against the shares. But note that covered calls on dividend stocks often have early assignments if the dividend is greater than the extrinsic value left on the call.
>I don't trade options because I know it's a gambler fallacy product but if I can earn money thanks to degen gamblers I'm open to sell contracts I guess ?
It's not that simple, under your logic you can always win selling options. Option sellers get BTFO all the time. Even otm options with low delta still have some small chance of hitting. Eventually that one big loss can wipe out gains.
However doing cash secured puts or covered calls is different, unless the stock crabs you're either going to baghold or miss out on gains.

There is a very good chance the Nasdaq reaches an all time high in the next year or two on the AI/computing hype. TQQQ/SOXL is a good way to profit on that. TQQQ is a little better for long term I think because it's volatility is lower since it is more diversified. This higher volatility makes it a little more risky to hold long term due to the volatility decay of leveraged ETFs.
