Not when supply is at historic lows. We have an insane amount of empty houses being used as investments for foreign nationals and large hedge funds. Not to mention the millions of people who got into 30 yr fixed mortgages at 2-3% who will never sell unless it's pried from their hands. I've met a lot of zoomers and millennials who have houses, way more than 5 years ago. We're entering thirdworldism where a few people with generous parents help them out with loans, some others took out a 500k loan for a house 2 years ago at 2% down and 2% interest and are holding on for dear life and then most people who didn't do that are priced out for the next 5 years until the market bottoms and interest rates are low enough.
