>Almost kill all Indians, but hey, let's put them on our coins forever!
That's like if Germany always had jews on their coins.
And then there's this whole

Couldn't find much results on jewtube. That said, one jeweler in the comment section of a vid advised the use of a hide hammer against a leather-covered wood plank. The leather being softer than silver, it wont flatten the markings. Another one said to leave the coin in the oven at 200°C for 20min before working on coins to soften them a bit.

Sounds like decent advices, but i'm still a bit worried, especially since i've zero dexterity. I'm the kind of guy who break everything he touches.

What is the process that goes down? They just weigh the gold/give an offer for me and if I accept I get cold hard cash? Or do I have to sign things and report for taxes? Thanks

if you have more then $10k then you have to fill out some forms for the (((IRS))) to track.
1st you should call around and figure how much you can get. of course factor gas into the total.
then you go to shop and yea, they'll weigh and check it.
you'll get more from a private sale and negotiate the price before hand, meet somewhere safe, and then hand over the money.
if you go to a pawnshop or we buy gold shop expect to get less than from a coin shop.

Many Americans, even at the time of the indian wars, had respect for the indians because they were fierce fighters. There was also some envy for their lifestyle. During early colonial days, European settlers splitting from the colonies to join the indians was common enough to be a problem. Also, just for the record, American indians were usually treated better than conquered people in most of the rest of the world in most of history. They weren't enslaved. They were given some land. Eventually they were given all the rights of citizens.

>if you have more then $10k then you have to fill out some forms for the (((IRS))) to track.
Having never sold so much, I will defer to an experienced seller, but there are a couple things in there that go counter to documentation.
1) Any interest the gov't has in your $10k+ transaction is if it involves *cash*. They're interested in what happens to printed fiat.
2) The form in question, Form 8300, is apparently filled out by the person receiving the cash (and you would expect that to be you, the seller). But the form itself seems interested only in the source being an individual, not a store. So you're not reporting the store as a source, and they're not reporting you as the recipient.
3) If you go deposit that $10k+ into your bank account, the bank might fill out the Form 8300 with your info.
4) If you think you can spread cash *purchases* out across several days, be warned that the buyer might report you r for suspicious transaction activity; specifically, avoiding the reporting:

I've heard chinks since 2022 are going all-in on faking old french gold & silver coins, especially the big ones like the 5 Francs (mostly Hercules, Napoleon 1/3,..). And apparently the quality is really decent. So beware fren!

It became so prevalent that french ebay coins' powersellers are putting "blank" auctions with descriptions on how to identify the fake ones. I came across few of thoses the past weeks. Maybe you should take a look, this coin surely is listed.

That's the narrative, but not so much reality anymore, alas. Take commercial vs tribal fishing - they want to keep their allotments per treaty despite depleted stocks. Their stance is, "why should we conserve because you over-fished?" They have a point, but it doesn't help the resource.
Tribal hierarchy is basically monarchical. The 'tribe' gets federal funds. Once it's in the coffer, the royals dole the funds out among the populace. Hence you see extreme poverty on Indian lands, too. Same with casino intake.
They're human. Humans are greedy, period.
They excuse their lack of technical progress as spiritual reverence.

Why would they? Both situations are bullish for PMs in the mid term.
>more rate hikes/staying at 5% : banks holding trillions USD worth of pre-hikes minted bonds with a 1% yield become the heaviest bags ever held in history (since the new bonds yield x6 as much) and collapse the baggots banks, forcing the treasury to print to oblivion to save them from those "unrealized losses".
>rates go down : the printing machine restart and flood us with toilet paper, re-igniting double digits inflation
It's a "damned if you do, damned if you don't" type of situation for the policy makers. Serious economists warned them for well over a decade this situation would be inevitable by creating a junkie economy centered around 0% interest rates. You can't cut the supply of easy money when everything rely on it. Look at the absolute state of commercial real estate. Eventually, by trying to extinguish fires left and right, the fed/treasury will have no other option but to plunge us into more currency devaluation.

Now for the normie counter-argument, you could argue that rates at caped at 5% will push toward """safe""" yield-generating Tbonds rather than gold. And that rates going down with push greedy cash toward the stonk market, who will probably rally for a while, at least for the duration of the transfert from bonds to stocks, as one become once again more profitable than the other. And both scenarii are certainly correct and bearish for PMs in the short term, but the respite will be so short-lived it would be foolish to think it will last more than few months.

It's all smoke and mirrors. The tanking will be temporary as the economy experiences lag when it is injected with liquidity, as seen here in this image. Even before covid, the low interest rates for a decade would have moonshot if it wasn't for quantitative easing, which covid played as a very convenient cover for it. In the next 18 months, I think they will use the war against Russia and China to pump the system full of liquidity again. You don't remove the debt limit until 2025 unless you're wanting the option to print to infinity. Use their metal market tricks to buy more cheapies while you still can, the next decade is going to be interesting.

Man, I've never seen FUD to the extent that has been happening in /pmg/ threads, lately.
Nobody is going to just sit in threads all day, posting hundreds of posts about how good metals are as an investment, getting into simultaneous arguments with people and making pathetic attempts at memes all day for weeks on end, just out of the goodness of their hearts, to try and help people make a good investment.
There is definitely money behind the FUD shills, they have been employed by (((coin dealers)) who want people buying silver, in particular.
They've even started making multiple threads to disrupt /pmg/ cos they couldn't use arguments and were unable to make the threads unbearable (despite a lot of effort on their part).
The only conclusion that can be drawn is that we are over the target.

We are allowed to talk about everything but for this one topic : the destruction of fiat and the re-establishing of sound monetary policies. Fiat money/currency dilution/debt privilege is how the money changers became the uncontested masters of this world. Goyim aren't authorized to challenge it.
The entire power structure they created is based upon corruption at every level of society, starting with the corruption of money, which is the main vehicle of exchanges among humans. You can't fathom how important money is to mankind on every level : social, psychological, political, philosophical, metaphysical,.. The concept of universally accepted medium of exchange based on subjective terms to value labor and goods (past and future) is the greatest invention of mankind, even before fire or writing.
And few demons appropriated this invention to make it a tyrannical tool to enslave and to vampirize honest people. The world can only turn to shit when your money is worth shit.

Remember everyone, $46BN silver and gold market in a $122BN premium grabbing scheme. Pair that with the supply/demand of silver which can easily produce a whopping 1800M worldwide, which is enough to procure 43 pounds for every AMERICAN. Per person on the planet you get a piece of silver roughly the size of an apple, when the demand for silver approaches zero. Look up the famous Mark Dice video. L to the MAO. The global silver system is a PONZI and it requires you to work tirelessly to pay premiums and store your metal in an expensive safe while paying 0 interest and dividends. It hasn't a chance in hell in providing you with the life ((((they)))) promise you. Your insurance, SS, etc are all pools of resources that have already been spent. Finance and accounting can NEVER create wealth on their own, and no amount of finagling will allow you to spend money EIGHTY times. All that the silver-ponzi has left to do is monetize the losses/default. Or in other words, actualize losses. That's why they shill garbage rocks to you 24/7/365. And there is no way to move the losses around on a balance sheet without someone who is not you footing the bill. All they can do is charge exorbitant premiums. I just realized something. You can get the displacement of a basket used to suspend an object in a fluid and subtract that from the total displacement. A sort of tare. Then you can lay the (coin) flat and use a smaller container, much less fluid, and use a smaller, more sensitive, less expensive scale. Don't try to suspend the coin vertically - lay it flat!

>Really? Why?
Because silver is an onlygatherclosetothesurfaceium (forgot the technical word) metal. So in truth, we don't *really* know if silver is more abundant than gold in relative terms, since gold can be found at any depths. But since we don't have the tech to dig very deep anyway, it's not that important for now.

But just keep in mind silver seemed abundant because it was easily accessible. But all this easy access silver is now gone, and if it turns out silver become rarer the deeper we go, it will significantly impact the price.
Think silver as the opposite of diamond, ultra rare at the surface level, but literally everywhere down a certain depth.

That's what the aluminum foil + salt bath does, right? I think technically it's some sort of electrolysis happening. Certainly smells foul like rotten egg mixed with farts, which would come from the released sulfur.

1. Attempted fraud
2. Removes attractive coating
3. Removes protective coating
4. Chemical reaction continues well after the cleaning is "done."
5. It's just gonna tarnish again, and probably not as nicely

so yeah, it "damages" the coin because the coin is more than just the molecules. The tarnish or patina is part of the coin, and a part we pay to have.

Yeah mechanically removing soil or an encrusting patina that obscures the surface of the coin is ok.

problem with any chemical treatment is we don't know what chemicals you used, and some of them will destroy the coin over time.

other problem is 1. attempted fraud. A cleaned coin looks like someone trying to rip people off, and even if that's not the case we can't know why it was cleaned so we just pay less for it no matter the reason.
