And so we have arrived at our new thread. This is your homeland now Anon. Cultivate and watch it grow. As we age we will venture out into the board and bring back new resources and information. Be careful though, as there are boards outside of this realm that may prove to be too dangerous for you. Only a true adventurer will have what it takes to explore the abyss.

When we are ready to migrate once again, we will fertilize the board with our seeds and create a new thread. Such is the cycle of life.

But they don't propose the 10/20F Turin (that's her name). Almost no seller do, the coin is that unpopular over here.
If you wanna find some, your best bet is ebay. Thankfully, shipping fees aren't usually too excessive between France and Germany (actually, it's cheaper for me to send you a basic letter in Frankfurt than to my neighbor lol). So try your luck in auctions!

Just make sure if youre Canadian you dont ever buy Canadian silver coins because its illegal for Canadians to melt them without paying the mint a 7 dollar per ounce fee, which means you will get 7 dollars below spot just to start. They will remind you its 10 years if you melt it yourself and 2 years if you knowingly give it to an American to melt.

I don't even know where you live.. If you want cheap silverware you better buy it secondhand, new one is incredibly expensive, while if you play it smart, you can find it for half spot value on ebay. So if you manage to snipe a good deal, a fork weighting 80gr will set you $30-33 behind, the same for a large spoon, and around 5-6 bux for a dessert one. Ask scrapfren, he's the best at this.

But this store is ran by fucking pieces of shit who deserve to be gutted alive, don't deal with them.
And as you can see, the premium for the 10F is at +6.50% and for 20F at +9.50%. Still much better than other silver coins, but not what you are looking for.

The problem with silver making new highs is momentum. Any market that makes new highs gets a spotlight put on it and the momentum can turn into a frenzy. The spell cast on pms is complacency and demoralization, if that multi-decade spell breaks then there is no going back. Illogical statement there brother, if you believe you'll ever retire on them, and yet the price isn't high enough to retire on, then it can't be too high to buy more, because that implies you think the price is going go down in future, contrary to your idea that you'll retire after the price goes up.

Speaking of revenge, long story short a former friend was extremely disrespectful towards me and wronged me in multiple ways. I'll include a note saying "don't sell until 2042, it's for your kids college fund". Regardless of what he does it'll be hilarious when he's eventually told its a fake. But I'd try arranging an under-the-table deal with a rich collector where they pay me in gold (and/or silver) bullion. At the time of sale the melt value of that nugget was less than 100K so they got 4X spot, but they also guaranteed that the IRS would be watching and waiting for their cut by going public and getting their 15 minutes of fame. Finding someone quietly who would pay between 3x-4x spot in bullion would be much more appealing.

>Most of the sterling is just the handle the rest is stainless.
wat? Usually the only stuff (you'd use on a daily basis i mean, others, larger items have silver-coated handle only, but that's beyond the point) like this are knives, for obvious reasons since silver would do some pretty crappy blades (tho knives with silver blades exist, but only for butter/marmelade and fruits/cheese knives). Idk what you were looking for, but if you search for sterling silverware, it will be made entirely of silver.
Be sure to take a close look at the hallmarks, you definitely don't want to buy plated silver. Sadly a good bunch of ppl on ebay are retards and think they are selling silver when in truth it's just plated crap.

>They even do basic stuff like bowls and such.
It's not an Indian custom per say. You wouldn't imagine the number of stuff who were made out of silver a century or two ago for the aristocracy/bourgeoisie. I own shooters, napkin rings, needle holders, vine scissors, plates, watches, bowls, goblets, tea strainers, palette knives, spatulas, dippers, sugar tongues, salt shakers, medicinal spoons, milk pots, pillboxes, card holders, cigs holders, thimbles, lamb sleeves, sauce pans, canne knobs, cups, sprinklers, egg cups, candleholders, chatelaine's clavets (not sure this word exist in eng), seal stamps, mustache brushes, key chains,.. and many more just from XIX-XXth c. western Europe.
Poojeets are like silverlets babies. Silvercrafting have been perfected by the White man, like everything else on this planet.

True, belt hooks too. I often tried to get my hands on XVII-XVIII'th c. ones, but they always end up being a tad too expensive for my tastes. Same goes for antique silver buttons and cape pin-locks.
But back in the 1600s, silver items were reserved to the elite, so not many of them still exist to this day.

Well, that's just like, your opinion, man!
I love that design! Sadly, I've already blown my budget for retarded low purity silver on Schillings (Unfortunately, most have the ugly reverse and not the cool one) but I gotta see where I can find them.
How's the spread on those? With the pictured Schillings, I can sell them as what they are for less than 10% of the price I bought them, which is better than any 999 bullion. But of course if I sell them at melt, I'm going to loose a lot of money (not that I intend to sell, but you gotta keep this in mind, never know what's gonna happen).
>>55284072
>My dude, do you think I got lots of money? […] I got maybe 1000€ to save and trade into mainly silver, after rent and expensives each month.
Unless that is a typo and you meant to say 100(hundred)€ that puts you firmly in the >better than most normies bracket, it seems. While europe isn't as bad as burgerland (just pick any of the random 70-90% of americans will be fucked if some unexpected $500 expense occurs articles, which don't (yet?!) exist for europe), most people apparently don't have 1000€ left over at the end of the month.
Sure, you're not rich in any way (lol, bro, just gotta save for 50 years and you can maybe afford a small house in the bad part of town, bro!) and I'm not advocating for you to waste your money, but if you can't afford a vacation at your pay level, you've got severe autism. Don't be a retarded normie that wastes everything on stupid shit, but the occasional relaxation is good for you. (I really gotta head to the med for a few days, I need some sun and water on me, just hope I don't loose all my stack in a boating accident again, really sucks when that happens)

I don't want to reveal the listing title because I think the seller is in the middle of listing an inheritance, but here it is. Not sure on the weight, anywhere between 200-300+g? I did some quick research and it's actually Canadian Sterling by PW Ellis & Co in Toronto, probably circa 1900 +/- a decade. No monograms or any visible dents or damage, and the quality seems better than average so I hope it proves to be thick and chonky silver. Apparently I'm scheduled to get it Friday so I'll know soon enough.

Correct. PMs are money so you will do fine in deflation. But that mostly depends on being able to stay employed. The reason the economy can maintain itself is because all credit expansion are simultaneously inflationary while also creating a deflationary effect which compels work/labor. They problem is going to be that deflationary pull which will be shutting down business, unemployment, government welfare programs ceasing, people selling assets, etc and if you are impacted by that you will not be a happy camper. The collapse itself could feel like it takes an eternity of economic pain and you won't be instantly showered with tendies. Just be prepared for the worst.

One question to you guys is why are people still hellbent on dissuading others from talking about pm's? There shouldn't be a reason for the amount of backlash we get. Like Blackrock basically owns a third of real eatate. What is one person with 100 oz of silver going to do anyway? Is it because people can circumnavigate tax laws in certain countries? I buy on credit occasionally but I don't fuck myself over in doing so. $10k in PM purchases will get taken to court as you should have assets that can be repossessed.

Seriously they can take you to court? I mean if you are making payments on the debt I don't see how/why they would. Also I haven't asked my lawyer friend but I'm pretty sure you can 'trade' your pm's for say a junk car with a friend and then exchange the title after you pay off a majority of the debt. This way the only thing they can repossess is a junk car you overpaid on.

Silver was 5 dollars an ounce in 2000. In another 20 years it will be off limits to the public especially as it is used up. We will run out if mineable silver in a mere decade. If you were to dump your roth ira, tap, mutual funds and go all into silver - you would make a 500% profit at the very least. I think this is what scares our government even more, debt maxing and dumping the local currency. In fact, I'm going to dump my tsp today just because you gave me a good idea. The thing of it is is that unlike the 1920's and 30's we have deflationary currency with hyperinflation looming. It's going to make savings a moot point. In fact anyone who held fiat is going to wish they dumped everything they had into silver. Just like in the 30's when people wished they had dumped everything into government bonds and US treasuries. It really is as simple as hoarding commodities and pm. Fiat is less than dirt, it is useless

>> No.55293175

>>55293130
Why are you mad though? What does someone's investment have anything to do with you? Is it a gamble? I mean barely, pm can ONLY go up over time, potentially more than secured investments. So why not put your money into physical metal? I'm a long term investor and it makes sense, so why have so many hang-ups? Silver is nothing compared to BTC. You would be foolish to compare the two.

Alright makes sense, a custom casting of the reverse of a nickel would be a cakewalk for any jeweler worth his salt. 52g is really pushing the limit man, what is the heaviest ring you've ever seen or owned? This one has gotta be up there.

>> No.55294117

>>55294061
also, I did calculations and all of the custom gold jewelry has either 1/8oz, 1/4 oz, 1/2oz, or a full ounce of 24k.

This one is 52g and using the conventions of her husbands jeweler that made the custom pieces using set amounts of pure gold 52x 0.585 = exactly 1 ounce of pure 24k.

The 36g custom 10k bracelet was 36*.419 so exactly 1/2 oz of pure gold used.

I know this sounds autismo but that is my reasoning for believing it is solid 14k

and I know a guy that collects gold coin stuff and will pay spot the same day for it.
