if you ever dont feel motivated or just want a hard taste of reality, play with a retirement planning calculator. you would be surprised how utterly little money you would have if you save X money from your paycheck and earn X percentage year after year. then you think to yourself "no way in hell am i gonna set aside that much money from my paycheck to make up for it"

finally it hits you like a truck. you know how much you gotta set aside to have a million dollars by 65? and this is after DECADES of working. and suppose you retire on time... this just means due to advances in medical technology, you would burn your money living to like 80-90s. Not to mention inflation by then. Maybe it will cost half a million dollars to buy a loaf of bread, and the other half million for rope and a stool

a house? family? kids? just do the math. or don't. ignorance is bliss. at what point would it be morally more responsible to not know how screwed you are just so you keep going because these numbers just tell you are fucked by the system for decades and you should be excited to retire

i have an incredibly high iq new strategy that i started implementing friday and am continuing tomorrow. you are too dumb to realize how megasmart it is so i'm not going to tell it. i am like a man looking down at a roach motel that is fully occupied and you are like the roaches. maybe if you come with a humble approach on your knees with your nose to the ground i will tell it to you, but maybe not even then because of the whole pearls before swine thing! i would say that i can't believe none of you retards came up with this system before me, but that is the most naturally sensible result of the

Biden has done literally nothing to help the economy, as the executive he simply does not have any relevant power to do so. Powell unironically can take more credit for this "recovery" (switch from deflation to wage price spiral) and even that is because he turned on the printers for Congress to airdrop free money to every man woman and child in the USA.

That said. Biden is still based for his foreign policy of doing nothing while our enemies fuck themselves over. Cold war strategy is like riding a bicycle you don't forget it once you learn.

there's more to it than this, but a simple introductory nutshell is this:
using HOOD, i bought 133 STOOKS, at $1 each. all of them are pretty good looking in some way or aspect, and the bulks are long, well established names, the biggest. quiet a substantial number, however, are a bit more obscure, heavy on energy and industry, and there are many smaller caps of various kinds. the whole thing is overall very well blended across sectors and caps.

each day, throughout the day, LIKE THA CARWRIGHTS RIDING AND CHECKING THA PONDAROSA RANCH, i'll scroll through all the list monitoring to see if any of them seem to be positioned for either further injections, or trimmings. the overall and immediate picture and circumstances of each one will be used to determine how much. some relatively rando stook might just get another dollar, 3, 5, maybe 10, but certain particular ones will weigh a lot heavier.

one could say it's essentially just paying $1 each to put promising stooks into a watchlist that's curated with actual funding as seems to be indicated, and all will have dividend reinvestments to grow the equities that way as well.

one example i will give is say there is a long established name that has a long term tendency to crab certain ranges. well, every time it gets around support levels, i'll shoot some more into it, as long as it is long term proving the behavior, so it will continue to somewhat assuredly grow whatever is injected into it, regardless of it being a "boring name" and not some hot shot growth stook, which i also have plenty enough of as well, including some more recent "innoovatoors". the bulk of my cash will remain gathering the 4.65% from HOOD in between BOIL swings.

that is an interesting looking fellow/approach, though i am only capable of a very small understanding of options. he's heavy on MSFT and it brings to mind that i somewhat elaborated injections while only mentioning trimmings. say you have a stook like MSFT presently, which is tickling around ATHs. well, if i get gains on that, but my sentiment (ultimately rightly or wrongly, can't tell the future) is that it's more overall likely to hit a pullback soon/ish, then i'll go ahead and trim the gains out of it and have that either sitting with my cash gaining 4.65, or reallocated into something that seems to be ready for injections.

my trading strategy? low pe ratio, strong and consistent dividend payout history. no shorting, no options, none of that fancy schmancy bells and whistle nonsense. stocks, i'm only talking about stocks, common stocks, shareholders equity. i'm investing for the long haul here, not out to make a quick buck and lose it just as fast. anyway where was i. The only companies i work with must be all-american, have real products that real people use, hands on, its gotta be something you can hold and it's gotta deliver real value to the common man. and most important son, and this is the hardest part of this whole system: get a printout of the names of their board of directors. the less you see certain names the better.

i'm telling you straight because you aint gonna believe me when i say this is a cut and dry, bona fide rock solid way

something very important about the method expressed above, with a $1 buy in, there's essentially zero concern about timing. some of them might be at or near the tops of their cycles, others in the middle, and others at the bottom, but that $1 will still show you variations in percentages there in your list, so you can easily monitor all and each of them right there and watch for the better times for more full buy ins. if you see a stook that has a good long term look to it, but is probably not at the best or even a good buy in time (like MSFT, etc.) then just sticking the $1 on it will let you see right there in your list when it hits any pullbacks by percentage. you might have in your mind a certain degree of pullback that you're expecting, and can inject accordingly as it reaches it, but perhaps even inject small amounts into *any* pullbacks. you might throw another dollar, 3, 10, 20 at a half a percent of red, but wait on say 2% before hitting it with $100 or even much more, depending on your personal analysis and sentiment. BUT, the $1 starting point gets you in right now with no need to feel at risk on something that's already riding perhaps a bit or even a lot too high. heck, you even get to just sample a whole lotta goods like this too. i even have the E, W, and Central nip railways in there, and a few others from Japan and also China. FOOKEET.

Anyone here build schizo spreadsheets to better understand inflation rates and COGS of companies that could be dragging them down? Fun fact, the apple iwatch standard version didn't really go up in price much but the stainless steel version has gone up. I have doubts apple can make the vision pro drop in price like the computer did from the 1990s to the mid 2000s when you consider the changes in oil production and collapsing commodities mining industry since around the time the dow jones underperformed the nasdaq a few years after 9/11. Unless apple has some top priority rights to the global supply chain or willing to deploy their capital to engage in covert warfare using their own private military contractors against other companies in the way of their supply chain I don't see how apple can replicate the success of the ipod or iphone as the century goes on and the global economy decays. I'd rather buy into a pure software company or some emerging industry company that can leverage a SAAS business model to drive growth multiples.

i had a friend who murder suicided a few years ago. he was an airborne ranger in the late 70s and early 80s. when he got out, literally the day he was cashing his last check from the military at the bank, he was approached by a man with a job offer. that man handed him a coca cola business card. he took the job and it wound up being a private force lethally defending sugar cane fields from the people the land had been taken from. he single handedly killed many people for coke's sugar. it was right after that when coke moved from sugar to HFC. i have never seen any of this anywhere, just straight from his mouth, and he showed me his cigar box of photos from then. the last time i saw him was 2004 and he had a battle suit in his closet with wax dipped matches sewn into the sleeves, and a cyanide capsule sewn into the collar. he said he could put on just that suit when SHTF and have everything he needs, but the supply bag beside it would have been helpful too. anyway, that what you said about AAPL made me think of that, and there's no telling what all of that kind of thing has actually happened, and is actually happening, and we do not hear about it.

That was during the midterm elections, he was saying the people would grow weary with incompetence of our elected leaders, which is right out of the protocols, but you wouldn't know that unless you read them. Did he actually mention the protocols on his show? Because if he did then he's browsing here and is reading my schizo posts and he's got the capital to move markets

Oh you mean like when I applied the rule of 16 to NVDA IV before earnings and sold a call credit spread saying "surely it won't reach new ATHs on this one earnings release". There is NO place that the market can't go. Been there. Done that. I'd rather just pick a direction every day and stop throwing money at a position once it goes OTM and if it stays there I exit. It's all the same thing. I may start buying longer dated ITM calls and then sell shorted dated OTM calls against them, or short the stock directly short term. Idk gotta think about it. If I had any balls I coulda woulda shoulda made $25k+ on my 150 lot of 433 puts on Friday. But you guys know I stare at the chart instead of walking away and letting the market do its thing. I think I gotta become more used to the possibility of losing $10k and then I can start actually making some money

I personally don't trade individual stocks. I only trade SPY, SPX, and occasionally Eminis. Individual stocks will boner you but entire indexes are much slower.
For instance, when my trades go against me, I have time to roll/close without much damage. If I ran shit on TSLA, AAPL,or any other popular stocks, I could risk loosing the whole trade on some bullcrap news

How'd you dig yourself out of that? I was pretty upset with myself for losing 1% on a bad play and them immediately losing another 4% on a revenge play. Thought I was beyond that crap. But I had to remind myself of all the changes my brain has gone through getting off all the substances in order to become the zen trader I am capable of being. Not about to give up all that spiritual work to forget about my problems for a few hours that will still exist once I sober up. It's just money, it forced me to sit down and make daily profit goals. I'm hoping that setting written goals will help me be less aggressive with some of my trades, especially on low volume days. A 100 or 200 lot of 0 dtes on SPY can do things to SPY on a low volume day. Even if (they) say it has no affect. I know it does. I've seen the underlying go exactly to where it needs to go just to come take my sell to close order and then immediately go back to where it was previously. That's someone (a MM) with a lot more money than me wanting to take those contracts off. Maybe they figured it was the cheapest way to get neutral, or maybe something else. Maybe it was all automated and in my head, and maybe my 100 lots are really nothing. Idk but I can tell you I need a sober mind either way. If I lose, I need to know it was me losing, and not the substances making me think weird

I feel like I always need to play the morning like it's a horse race and at opening bell we are off to the races. Then by lunch time the action has petered out and I'm usually done by that point, or rather should be done, but then I get bored and risk more than I should in the afternoon. Vs doing what you said and waiting for the vol times. And with how the market has pumped right after firing my advisor and right after selling out of all his positions and buying to close for a loss all the covered calls I had sold on his low liquidity tickers. In hindsight I shoulda just stayed put. But now I'm doing what I actually want to do with my portfolio. Gotta be forward looking. We'll make it back.

BTC is about to break lower. Impending crytocalypse due to the SEC. NASDAQ is overbought. Apple and Nvidia already topped out. RBA raised, BOC raised. TGA needs refilling. Commercial real estate in peril. Other shoe not yet dropped on US regional banks. FOMC rate rise not priced in. Pretty sure the great crash of our times is about to unfurl.
