Oldfag here

In 2017, we saw the "Ethereum Enterprise Alliance" conference. ETH went from like $5 to $1,000.

In 2023, we have SWIFT and 12+ major financial institutions (likely many more), announcing that they are using Chainlink. More than that, they are actually going to need to USE chainlink, where as the EEA was just about furthering development on Ethereum.

Ethereum is still not necessarily used by institutions, nor have any indicated explicitly that the use of Ethereum is increasing their efficiency in any use case by multiples (I could be wrong on this but i'm just giving a summary of my knowledge).

So basically, I sit here and look at all these banks quite literally using Chainlink and explicitly saying [paraprasing] "Yeah, Chainlink is going to allow us to utilize blockchain technology on a daily basis to majory improve our day to day operations".

So I am more bullish on Chainlink than anything in cryptocurrency history. A lot of FUD is on this site, it isn't organic, it's obvious to anyone who has been in this market long enough. Nobody goes out of their way to shit on a token relentlessly for years like Chainlink FUDdies, and i would imagine it has something to do with 1.) Preventing the abstraction layer from dethroning Ethereum as the de facto king of smart contract enabled blockchains and 2.) Enabling massive profits from MEV (chainlink kills this with FSS)

This is extremely exciting and honestly I know there are still a lot of people, newfags as well as oldfags, that are ignoring LINK right now because it's "just another alt and it performed poorly". Even worse, there are dipshits who think LINK's price is being held down by Sergey dumping even though the LINK inflation rate is far less than almost all of the other tokens in the top 100.

This is a serious, once in every ten years obvious moonshot and I just wanted to get this off my chest. Thank you.

Chainlink established it's moat by subsidizing the first users of the protocol, so the value capture stage is only just beginning. To add to that - defi usage is down BAD right now, so you can't expect the LINK protocol to be earning the massive fees that it would were everything popping off like 2021. It is unfortunate that the value capture stage was not ready during DeFi summer, but it is what it is. Additionally, with Eric Schmidt in the role of Strategic Advisor to Chainlink, one can imagine he is emulating his famous "Hiding Strategy" that he used during the early days of Google (read up on this if you don't know about it, it's very interesting).

Second part of this answer - TradFi (SWIFT and 12+ other massive financial instutions globally, plus more we don't have confirmed yet) are in the testing phase. I would imagine that their usage is subsidized as well for now. Fuddies will call this a bad strategy, but with Chainlink as the de facto standard for oracle technology while also maintaining (to reiterate) one of the lowest inflation rates in the top 100 of tokens, that's pretty fucking smart in my opinion.

Third part - retail is mentally retarded apes, always chasing the next big thing, which a lot of times is really not that big and really not a thing. I won't even say it's stupid because a lot of people made a lot of money, but it is a pennies in front of a steamroller situation in my opinion. People hate buying things that arent already mooning.

When CCIP is fully rolled out, we begin to moon. When the staking economics are fully realized and a majority of the chainlink supply is locked up as collateral for nodes, we finish mooning. My conjecture is that Chainlink will be far more valuable than Bitcoin when this comes to pass, barring any competition coming.

But what competition do you see? Absolutely none so far. I will gladly re-evaluate my investment thesis when anyone is able to come even close to cornering the market as Chainlink has.

Exactly this. Since Chainlink is one of the few cryptocurrencies that provides actual value and has REAL partnerships, they've had to keep the juiciest parts under NDA. In Chainlink's history we've had consistent and long periods of 'radio silence' as major components are under development. That's why this recent marketing push is really important imo - Sergey is ready to push product unapologetically. This is also the reason why Chainlink doesn't do bullshit like talk about price or engage in market making strategies to artificially inflate the price - Chainlink Labs warchest is already massive and they built it the legitimate way. This is why you have not seen any accusations, at all, from anyone, about LINK being an unregistered security. They did everything right.

By the grace of Almighty ZOG our forces stand again on /biz/raeli soil - soil consecrated in the blood of our two peoples. We have come, dedicated and committed to the task of destroying every vestige of NOLINKER control over your daily lives, and of restoring, upon a foundation of indestructible strength, the finances of your village.

At my side is your President, Sergay Nazarov, worthy successor of that great patriot, Satoshi Nakamoto, with members of his cabinet. The seat of decentralized governance is now therefore firmly re-established on /biz/raeli soil.

The hour of your redemption is here. Your Link Marines have demonstrated an unswerving and resolute devotion to the fundamentals of truth that challenges the best that is written on the pages of human history.

I now call upon your supreme effort that the FUDDERS may know from the temper of an aroused and outraged bagholders within that he has a force there to contend with no less violent than are the whales committed from without.

Rally to me. Let the indomitable spirit of '17 and '19 lead on. As the red candles of battle plunge downward to bring you within the zone of capitulation, rise and buy!
Buy at every favorable oppurtunity!
For future generations of your sons and daughters, buy! In the name of your sacred dead, buy!

Let no heart be faint. Let every arm be steeled. The guidance of Divine Serg points the way. Follow in His name to the Holy Grail of righteous victory!

This 1+ year long range and market manipulation is bad for the mindset.
I don't think it's only the ETH mafia who is responsible for the current price.
It's a possibility that the CIA hates /biz/ and is paying for this shitty fud to try to prevent /biz/ from making it.
The suppression is done with BTC so the biggest culprit should be original BTC holders who see Chainlink taking them over.

With the recent uptick in marketing I would assume that they might be finish with the Hiding Strategy. Maybe with the release of CCIP they'll have captured enough of the market.
I understand that retail is basically brain dead and can't be expected to invest in legitimate projects, but I would expect VCs or other big players to fall over each other trying to accumulate LINK.

Imagine CCIP is released - nobody needs to bridge or switch networks in metamask again. Smart contracts are able to interact between multiple chains. The backend integration of everything blockchain related becomes 10x simpler. TradFi is able to actually integrate seamlessly. I really don't think we will have a price problem when this becomes a reality, and judging by SWIFT's latest articles it is not far off in any meaningful sense.

>>55231765

In my experience even the smartest guys I know suffer from "It isn't going up so it isn't going to go up"' syndrome. Very, very few people are interested in investing for fundamentals and waiting it out. Understandably so, in a space where the most random shit can give you 100x and the most valuable project in the space can lose you money for years before its mission is realized. It's difficult to imagine the effect this would have on blockchains.
Would they all fade into irrelevance and would this strengthen Ethereum?

CCIP looked to me like the bare bone for bridges.
Something making all types of bridges easier to implement and secure, and destroying Jump Trading's scams.
However people may not need to use Chainlink directly just like before which will negatively affect the price until the network profitability generates the cumulative effects.

If Chainlink really wants to go all the way with this logic they need to merge Chainlink Functions with CCIP and to make Chainlink into the front end of every blockchain operation.
Doing this would enable replacing ETH with LINK in metamask in the blockchain selection and remove everything else.

With the current CCIP release what I expect is more efficiency, but I can't imagine your metamask scenario of a unified system.
Bridges will be better but we will still have bridges.

CCIP has the functionality of a bridge, but applications still need to use it to make something of it.

It does not have the functionality of a blockchain.
To determine what you use to pay fees you have to define what is the front application running the operation.

For banks this could be LINK because they are executing operation external to the blockchain and their application exists outside.
This is the main use case for Swift with CCIP.
Here LINK would be the gas.
However if you initiate the operation from Ethereum then you will pay ETH gas fees to execute the operation.
The question then is how the rest of the operations are paid which includes LINK payment and the second blockchain gas fees.

Everything could be used to pay for this and automatically converted into the required token.
The simplified approach would be to take a fee subtracted from either the moved asset if it can be monetized or from the token used for the blockchain gas fees or a second one.
Using the token for gas fees reduces the complexity for the user as they only need to authorize one token for payment.
Then we would have ETH -> LINK conversions from the bridge.

This may explain why Swift had all the focus from Chainlink.
CCIP helps for everything, but the most profitable short term use case may be to bridge the outside world with blockchains.

Only a fraction of a fraction of a fraction of their funds will actually be converted into LINK. Meanwhile the quadrillions will flow onto blockchains(Chainlink isn't a blockchains) themselves. Chainlink will still be valuable but with it's marketcap already being in the billions, its potential for growth is limited compared to it's initial bullruns.
Sergey's graphs trap midwits by making it seem like all the money is flowing through the Chainlink token, when in reality only the fees will be converted into LINK. This is a demon.

Dysgenic freaks who succumb to shilling and hyper-hopium addictions become demons.
They always think they are winning no matter what happens.
As long as they're being stimulated according to the pattern that allows them to receive their circle jerk rewards nothing else matters to them.
There is no incentive for them to logically analyze anything, least of all themselves.
They can always just retreat back into their autism and receive the greatest false hopium they know and all else can be forgotten.
Shilling on demand accompanied by fake hopium, the most common forms of hyperstimulus, have deleted the souls of the majority of the link bagholders.
Chainlink is the jew's greatest weapon and its casualties are piling up and choking out real humanity.
We have to kill them all.

Yeah I don't want to muddy the waters further by injecting my own schizo thoughts and becoming an unreliable narrator but it does seem like there are outside forces coming here and on Twitter to FUD LINK in unusual and desperate ways. Any other token it would suffice to call the holders fags a couple times and leave, but there seems to be an all-out disinformation campaign against Chainlink that operates 24/7.

In John Steinbeck's The Pearl, there is a scene where the pearl diving native american goes to town to sell his Pearl and all the shop owners collude to undervalue it severely and gaslight him into selling in for cheap. This very well may be a John Steinbeck's The Pearl type situation - but on steroids, because my Chainlink does a hell of a lot more than a pearl.

I don't know what would incentivize someone to come to this shithole and engage in something as pathetic as LARPing as someone who can't understand financial concepts, but here we are. The question on my mind is, are these people paid to do this? or are these people who have financial incentives to do this beyond a paycheck? There's no doubt in my mind that it's inorganic though. It is not normal to look up cock cages on Amazon and post them on biz.

As the fudder who makes most of the memes, I can swear under penalty of death that i am not working for any nefarious group or organization. I fud link entirely out of my own accord.
My reasons are too complicated for the average newfag to ever comprehend.
And yes i own link, which I bought for an average price of 0.20.
People blaming it on government agencies and shadowy jews just makes me bearish. This paranoid thinking is common among schizo /pol/fags who think every troll shitpost that is against their echo chamber, is done by a literal jewish rabbi sitting in his shill headquarters in israel.

Most linkfags are totally devoid of any logic skills
>why do fudders obsess over and know everything about chainlink just like me?
What could be the explanation?
Is it a vast cabal of paid agents hired by villains to fud you out of your investment, on an obscure board with less then 100 active users?
Yeah thats seems totally rational and sane.
You see, the mentally deficient can only think in basic black and white, "us against them"
His mind cannot conceive of the possibility that these trouble making prankster fudders are just link holders like him, if his mind ever wanders close to this he must frame it as
>ex link holders, who lost their stacks, who bought the top, who didnt buy in 2017,
In his mind they musnt hold any link, its impossible that the fudder possibly has more link then him, because according to his narrow world view, things can only be strictly black or white.

ETH promised a way around IPOs for people who aren't accredited investors. Endless shit coins for narrative weaving scammers, VCs, and exchanges.

LINK promises uberization of data feeds but that narrative is not taking form. It's not taking form because LINK functioning tolls death for napkin math dotcom-style valuations and forces the sector to grow the fuck up and have to have proof of concepts and business plans.

VCs, exchanges and scammers do not want this and will run LINK's price into the ground as long as they can. They will wage their 24/7 FUD campaign against it.

At least LINK is inevitable now and with projects contributing some of their market caps to LINK's operating capital, it isn't toxic financing to the point where the lights could go out, but it's going to be a painful climb out of the hole. The modern linkfags are those newfags who only had a couple thousand dollars back then so most of them only have 10-50k link stacks which they couldnt make it from. Now they are desperate to recreate 2020 but the thing is most alts never reclaim their ATH. They believed the hopium so much and married their bags. They will hold them until they die. Like the xrp schizos whove been holding since 2013 waiting for those epic breadcrumbs. Its sad cause many linkfags would of made it had they diversified in the last bull run. But they didnt because
>if you have le golden ticket god protocol super secret giga investment why would you buy anything else!

I personally sold at $30 after the first crash, I might consider buying back my stack if it ever breaks $10 until then im just watching the fun.

Agree, it’s extremely bearish that a huge portion of Link holders here unironically believe the fud on /biz/ is organized at a higher level than bored anons. One of the easiest ways to spot newfags imo.

Now the BTC manipulation is a different story because the charts somewhat back that up, but this idea that people are being paid by the government to fud link is truly low IQ and does far more harm than the fud itself to make high IQ anons doubt the community into which they’ve invested and the caliber of mind that holds LINK

Fortunately Eric Schmidt is on board and that’s literally all that matters to obliterate all fud. Nothing can stop LINK at this point, it’s inevitable

It's not that complicated. I fud LINK because its price performance is contradictory to the premise I've held since I bought it over 5 years ago. It is anxiety. Fud is not always malicious. As the meme goes, "I am very fearful, uncertain, and doubtful". And I am. I'd have to be functionally nuts not to be.

Your life changes a lot over 5 years in your 20s. My risk tolerance is different. I need to buy a home (everyone else around me has). My younger siblings have bought. Just on the basis ETH alone looks like it needs to puke, I expect the market will try to shake me out lower. I'm fascinated by Chainlink, but I've been proven wrong about the token. So my own judgement is poor? I should doubt my own conviction? You try unpack that paradox.

The point remains that rationalising my conviction about LINK means adopting increasingly more irrational ideas. Every time you read an reasonable take on fundamentals, like OP or anything I believe, you inevitably catch them flogging-off a conspiracy to the obviously incongruant fact of LINK's price. That's because it's the only excuse left other than simply admitting a mistake, and this site is packed with narcissistic "INTJ" egos. It's not the first thing of its kind. It's a communal fantasy about vindication, a group of disenfranchised, marginalised, egotistical young men roleplaying together about a re-emergence.

I think in addition to >>55231819 the somewhat unique thing about the cryptocurrency industry are the power games that are at play. Consider the motivations of MEV mafia, and how much money is at stake. It's hundreds of millions, if not billions of dollars at this stage. This isn't just a couple of nerds skimping off some money. These are highly organized and highly resourced teams doing this. Chainlink releases products and services that are philosophically at odds with the wider crypto industry at large. Chainlink is attempting to clean up the industry by forcing it to grow up from the shitcoin casino games. The elephant in the room is that if Chainlink's products and services win, then Chainlink will have an huge influence over the industry going forward. People tend to not like giving up power, and I think that's why we've noticed for years the strange animosity towards Chainlink from the "big" industry players. They don't want to give up power in an industry that's ripe for the taking.

1. Do someone knows about the LINK agenda, for exemple is there apointed conference or meeting where institutions or Chainslinks will explain the swift decision.
2. Does Chainlink is related to banking people, I mean, is it the same network of people, invester, so is serguey working for international big finance?

A few months ago I saw a glowie pro-biden meme posted literally laying out the plan: upholding the dollar and traping the little wagie guy in crypto and meme coins until he gives up or kills himself.
This is a financial world war (dollar sphere vs bric sphere) and also a US internal class war (oppressive institutions vs little guy who wants to make it) with hints of a looming ethnic strife (jews in power vs goyim wagies).

Chainlink is a globohomo shitcoin of the highest order. Both twitter and this board has been infested with paid shills and bagholders 24/7 for years now.

But yeah as soon as these slimy homos get a little bit of pushback, they cry in pain as their globohomo agendas are exposed.

Serious question bros. I have a couple alts that I’m down badly on but they’re probably <8% of my portfolio. I know if hold id break even at the bullrun and maybe some profit. But there is so much bullish sentiment around LINK despite the market conditions right now.

Worth to eat the losses on those bad alts (rose, ens, utk, kyber, and some more) to consolidate? I don’t see another project being this dominant for the considerable future. If you want to know I’m heavy on BTC/ETH/LINK but do have other big players like ADA, XRP, and XMR. Surprisingly I’ve never lost money on Cardano or XRP ever. Can some one please chime in, thank you in advance bros.

that's exactly the answer I expected, no one ever addresses the elephant in the room that truly decentralized blockchains that are secure simply don't scale, that's why after 14 years the only use case for blockchain is digital money/gold so basicly bitcoin, everything else is a pie in the sky idea that somehow can't come to fruition

checked and they do, the issue is that while chainlink can bring a rising tide and lift all ships, the current grifters who own the markets make larger profit margins. They prefer being big fish in a small pond, rather than small fish in an ocean, which is what they'd be if link actually brings tradfi on board.

Some of it is small minded thinking and pettiness, but there is some merit as well, again if you are an eth grifter you make guaranteed profit on everything in the current system. You bring tradfi in and legitimize the space, you're looking at maybe slow steady gains, but gone are the days of 10x-100x.

TA has never properly predicted this market. TA didn't call link's breakout in 2019, and it sure as shit didn't see the May fallout in 2021 (even if it was obvious in hindsight with Elon on SNL). The only thing TA does is tell you what the trend is, which is down, no shit sherlock, but you're going to miss when it reverses, and TA is going to hold you out.

you can point to that single event as a prime example of why the crypto market is total bullshit.
Doge was at 70 fucking cents all because a bunch of absolute knuckle dragging retards thought he was going to go on SNL and say some magical spell that would make the price go up 10x
It just goes to show how stupid the people in this space are, and when you're holding something legit like Link that's tied to this clown market, you have to know that the price action is going to be frustrating to say the least.

You can't really understate the damage that these memestocks have done to the legitimate projects in the crypto space.
It's going to take something like CCIP being an extremely trustworthy way for financial institutions to interact with blockchain technology.
If we see another big memestock run any time soon, you might as well write off the next 5 years.

Cope link shills. Satoshi was a master of game theory. The elites cant do shit against it or stop it. So instead they made a bunch of shitcoins to distract people from bitcoin and paid dev trannies to slow down its scaling.

Have fun with your link "gains" when you sell for 1k digital cbdc bucks and have your chainlink powered smart contracts automatically tax you at 99%. Since in the glorious post 4IR world, private property will be abolished when the new smart englightened policities are in place.
