So the bigger players (big banks and prime brokers) have been setting up complex systems of plausible deniability over the last few years so when the DOJ comes down hard on the hedge funds and market markers, even if the ken and friends squeel, there wont be TECHNICALLY enough evidence to convict the truly larger players and this entire ordeal will be contained to the hedge funds and market makers. This adds the convenience of not needing to necessarily "Epstein" ken and friends to keep them quiet, as their illegal activities have been "contained" well enough that when this all goes down the system overall will appear "just" and "genuine". It will appear as if it was just a couple small actors printing more shares than should exist for most classes of equites without their big daddy prime brokerages knowing better (yea right).

Michael burry alluded to this when he tweeted some time ago (i dont remember the precise details) a little anecdote about a fisherman named kenny who got his boat motor purposefully tangled up in a fishing net (alluding to ken griffin making this issue worse and worse purposefully to force the (hopefully) hands of bigger players like prime brokerages and the big banks to step in and save his ass. This will eventually even reach the fed via some very disconnected bailout to appear as though it is related to something different, similar to the secret bailouts of september 2019.
