This is extremely sped up. In the real video it's very slow, the shark is approaching fairly gently, and the diver is purposely looking to try the rotation thing. He slowly reaches out and grabs it on both sides of its mouth and slowly turns it. Not saying there wasn't risk involved, the shark is actively trying to bite at something while this is happening, but this video makes it seem way more intense.

Even if you don't believe the first thing that appears to the left is a shark (which IMO it clearly is, and I think a smaller one than the first that goes in for a bite), when you see the shark surface up to take a bite of him it's easily a 10-12 ft+ shark and obviously a fucking shark.

I think it might have missed him, or maybe at best got a foot or part of his leg. But the next grab takes him under.
