However, like you say, in principle the technology is neutral. It’s really up to social consensus how we deploy this technology in practical use cases. It sounds cheesy but ultimately our fate is up to us. If we sit around and just accept that the elites will have their way then, yes, it’s really over. If they allow various underlying collateral for shorts and longs then you could just use their system as one component in the DEFI lego stack. It definitely seems that way. It was proven that NEXO was involved with the Zeus Capital report in an attempt to lower the price and allow them to exit their shorts profitably.

That being said the FUD now appears to be less about short term profit motive and is legitimately an attempt to dissuade people from using Chainlink's suite of tools available to progress the Web 3 space forward.

I want to buy when things are under valued not over valued. Of course you will say its still over valued. Again though we are at a point where blockchain can't even progress much further without decentralized oracles. Betting on LINK at this point is basically betting on the blockchain industry as a whole will succeed.

On one hand, I want to buy after the ccip priced-innews event washes out some more baggies. On the other hand, I'm leaning towards BTC pumping this summer which would mean link goes up too. Tough call.

Right that is my point. A 90% decline, which is conveniently spammed here ad nauseum in regards to LINK, doesn't actually mean anything then.

It gives no indication of anything. It will either never recover and be forgotten OR this is just a reaccumulation period before the next parabolic expansion phase/bull run.

Considering the value that LINK brings to the space and how its basically mandatory to use Chainlink to launch a DEFI protocol, then fundamentally it makes more sense that this would be a reaccumulation period.

We even saw the internal script/code for CCIP that shows it requires LINK every time its used which is incredible. A massive boon for the tokenomics which are relatively mediocre as of right now.

Agreed however I want to combat their lies and hope to see as many people make it as possible. LINK is one of the last few projects that is both undervalued and obviously an integral part of the future of blockchain. Educated guesses that the teams will not only build what they set out in their white papers but also that it will be desirable and valuable.
