one of the things to learn in retrospect is that the massive walls of puts all the way up to where we are now was near-term bullish because it meant there were big institutions trying to milk the cow for every drop they could get while buying enormous downside protection at obscenely high prices. the rally ytd was in fact not a tech trade but a bet that banks had enough cash to secure puts to keep the market from falling for a while

Tell option anons is there any difference to the dealer (ie lose more/less money) when more calls are itm at expiry vs puts.

IE: seems there is a theory that if the p/c ratio is higher more puts would be otm at expiry. And vice versa, because sellers would lose their premium and dealer would not collect their cut? But now that we are getting bullish seems like the market is still going up? So it sorta invalidates max pain?

You'd think dealers will pinch put buyers. But yet looking a top 7 stock, ie AAPL, who's p/c, you could just be like "you bought calls" anon and buy otm calls for the past 6 months and make a killing. Seems too easy, right?

You are wrong. Dividend stocks are for high net worth inviduaks who have accumulated a nice nest egg and are seeking to live off it. If you’re young and haven’t made it yet. Riskier growth stocks are a better choice. JEPI is not the answer, but it will be for when you cash out your 401k/Roth and want to live off the dividends. It better to cash in larger gains while you’re young then transition into dividends when you’re older and richer.

As far as I can tell dividend reinvestment is basically compound interest? So as long as I don't spend any of it and I use the divvies to buy more stonk which pays more divvies etc then this should just become a snowball, right?

Is that it? Just vote through the deal and get it over with? Credit rating slashed? Issuing of new bonds and drain liquidity from the stock market? Biden's conditions? Is there well and truly no repercussion to raising the debt by additional 5T?
Well, I guess not. Too much money has been printed out. But I do find it funny that the debt has been re-financed from a 1% to 5% rate. They're gonna have to QE again, right? Figg I hate this complex bs.
I love the fact that /smg/ thought the debt ceiling was already priced in but now we're giga pumping again

Market makers lose money only when they hedge incorrectly. Ideally they never lose money despite any directional movement, but they get it wrong occasionally.

If they tend to lose more money on downward movements it's only because they are long biased

>Ackman said in a lengthy tweet that Dimon is a political centrist who is pro-business and pro-free enterprise, while also supportive of "well-designed social programs and rational tax policies that can help the less fortunate." Ackman also said he thinks Dimon, 67, could beat President Joe Biden in a primary or Donald Trump in a general election. He added that Dimon's ability to raise billions of dollars from bipartisan supporters would easily fund his campaign. In a Bloomberg Television interview on Wednesday, Dimon said that he had mulled joining public office. "I love my country, and maybe one day I'll serve my country in one capacity or another," he said.
