Taxes aren't anything new bro...Plus they are being auto added to LP to provide deeper liquidity, which if anything, actually helps investors.

After being in their discord and seeing some of the stuff they've made, would have to be a pretty high effort rug (higher than I've ever seen).

The meta has definitely shifted far away from taxes though at this point. Too many people associate them with bsc shitcoins and scams.
I did actually watch some of some youtube video someone posted here before. And assumeing what was shown was real/legit then it does seem decent. When I saw the tax thing though I was kinda put off.
Actually one of the big reasons I think taxes are stupid is that the real noobs who pump things up like pepe to insane heights have no idea wtf taxes are and slippage. Let alone how to set their slippage correctly. Failing a buy on eth is a horrible user experience. And don't get me started on getting sandwiched and shit...
Anyway, post the twitter or discord if you can. I'm seriously bearish on taxes though especially on a legit project(actually if it's not a scam it's a good thing they can adjust the tax then since they might be able to put it to either 0 or 0.5% so that noob buys don't fail).

Taxes also discourage LP providers from doing their thing, since there's no reason to LP since there's no volume since nobody wants to trade since there's a tax. I get the business model, but coins can only fly if they're free to trade. At least there hasn't been a rug yet.
