>the negroes will be safely kept away from the general population.
This has been proven not to work. The negro is willing to cross great concrete natural barriers(highways, walls etc)that keep them inside their ghettos and reach other zones to disturb the general population. Why don't we just send them back to Liberia like free negros in 1822? That was the whole purpose of that place.
If we do this, what would happen to negros than don't consider themselves subsaharan africans, but niggas(niggers). Like to what this song in negro vernacular alludes to https://youtu.be/0itOCgJtNVU

I'm a brainlet. When I look at selling covered calls on fidelity, there's a field that says "Limit Price" and it lists "Bid", "Midpoint", and "Ask". I looked up what these terms mean but they dont seem to correlate with the idea of a Limit Price at all. Why am I being given a choice here if these prices are set by the market maker?
I think my inability to figure this out shows me I'm not smart enough to do options and will continue to just swing trade which I've been moderately successful at, but I want to at least understand out of curiosity at this point.

Like this:
>what policy tools can the federal reserve use to lower inflation
>A. Lower money supply
>B. Buy government bonds

The correct answer is A, however lowering the fucking money supply is not a godamn policy tool, they cannot fucking just lower bank deposits. We’ve been through 10 years of QE and inflation has been rock fucking bottom, the fed is taking inflationary yielding debt out of the dollar system and replacing it with base money, like how the hell is there not an argument there that it is a potentially disinflationary policy tool?

It’s literally a fucking opinion not a truthful fact. This shits fucking retarded and gay, I’m beginning to feel college is a huge mistake

It honestly makes no sense to bet the market will go down. Every single day more money is created. Every single day more money is handed out by the government. Every single day inflation increases. Stocks are naturally worth more money every hour of every day and you should therefore be buying stocks every day, even more so when there is a day like today where for some stupid reason fools are selling stocks. Stocks will be worth more in the future. It’s mathematically certain. Like 100% guaranteed, zero chance stocks decline over any meaningful time period. Why does anyone ever sell stocks? They will literally always go up forever just as they always have.

the Fed can sell bonds on their balance sheet on the open market; buyers now do not have their money, they have bonds instead
on a mass scale, this is lowering the money supply
not only can they influence the money supply directly by buying/selling in the open market, they can indirectly affect the growth / shrinking of the money supply through interest rates and the reserve requirement (which doesn't exist anymore!)
so it's not that dumb of a question, for Macro 101

Also it’s extremely extremely debatable that government bonds reduce the money supply when at most parts of the curve the fed has outstanding facilities to directly increase liquidity to near infinite, and when you can post it as collateral with minimal haircuts.

Buying and selling bonds on the open market is a policy tool
As is lowering or raising interest rates
Or, at least, this is how Macro defines "tool"
>What do economists mean when they use the term - monetary policy tools? Monetary policy tools are tools that the Fed uses to ensure economic growth while controlling the supply of money and the aggregate demand in the economy.
>The tools used to implement monetary policy can be broadly categorized into three types:
>Open market operations: This involves the central bank buying or selling government securities in the open market to increase or decrease the money supply.
>Interest rates: The central bank can change the benchmark interest rate, which is the rate at which banks can borrow from the central bank. This influences other interest rates in the economy, affecting borrowing and spending.
>Reserve requirements: The central bank can change the reserve requirements for banks, which affects the amount of funds banks must hold in reserve and can lend out.
>Other tools used less frequently include discount window lending, moral suasion and direct controls on bank lending.

tldr; open market operations is considered a tool (and you should know this - as it's something every macro student knows, so maybe you don't know everything in macro 101 and shouldn't be testing out of it ;) )

Its not fishy. They just yank the chain of lazy people who don't know how to shop around. On the broker's market they are competing with lots of other CD providers. It is just like how you might find something cheaper from the same people on amazon as opposed to trying to buy the item directly off of their own website.

Well they get to add 4 trillion more to the current 31 trillion debt till 2025. Then the bickering happens all over again. College students get the shaft; they gotta pay their loans once more on time each month just as they did before covid. (Frankly; I don't feel sorry for them one bit; they made the choice to take out the loan). Supposedly "cuts" happen to keep spending low in the coming year but really I think it's all a bait and switch thing.

Shown Here:
Introduced in House (04/24/2023)
Equal Opportunity for All Investors Act of 2023

This bill expands who may be considered an accredited investor for purposes of participating in private offerings of securities. Certain unregistered securities may only be offered to accredited investors.

Specifically, the bill allows an individual to qualify through an examination established by the Securities and Exchange Commission. The examination

must be designed with an appropriate level difficulty such that an individual with financial sophistication or training would be unlikely to fail,
may include methods to determine competency in certain areas, and
must be administered by a registered national securities association and offered free of charge to the public.
Currently, accredited investors must satisfy certain requirements indicating their reduced exposure to financial risk, including those related to income, net worth, or knowledge and experience.

Just heard by some realtor that interest rates are the primary driver of inflation and that any shot of returning to 2.2% core this year happens when money is printed.
