his style of investing was a good fit for the markets at the time
investing in the specific type stocks like him now, i.e. retail chains and small savings and loan banks would not be pretty
his method of researching companies and doing due diligence on each individual stock is still valid though
that makes it sound like he was super into value stocks but it was more growth stocks with good financials
funnily enough he would usually go down more than the market on downturns, similar to a certain space tractor investor

On the contrary, I could not possibly feel safer or better or more comfortable about the situation, and this pumping (which is actually one of the most bearish things I've ever seen on the stock market), just gives me a better place from which to add to my short, which I actually HOPE I have more chances to do. This fucking horseshit retardation mongoloidal fucking buying WILL be punished, and all gaps WILL fill, because all gaps DO fill. ***PIC RELATED*** As those ChangeToFill percentages get larger, it's like an ATM showing me my future balance. The market cannot escape or ignore the dire and undeniable fundamentals that led bobos to the absolutely indisputably correct decision to go short, and all fucking bulls will fucking hang.

P911 looks like a good buy. what do you guys think?
they'll be unveiling a new super SUV in the next few years and those things sell in ballistic numbers, as do their current SUVs
they're one of the 3 most profitable car makers in the world and they've only been on an upwards trajectory (financially) for the past 20 years
it looks like they've mastered the current automotive market dynamics and until some new socio-economic wave makes their current cars unprofitable, i don't see how anything can go wrong with them

the other thing with lynch is there's more to it than "invest in what you know". you should know everything about the company, like the ceo, their philosophy, their earnings, keep to date with their financials etc. there's a lot to it, and the average investor won't want to deal with it, which is why the average investor is better off in mutual funds/etfs

those stocks make up a massive portion of the index, you are basically following the sp500. fund managers arent that smart, they just follow the market like everyone else. the "top 10 most bought" stocks will always be the most popular/largest companies. to beat the market you need to diverge from the market index(which is extremely hard)

Mostly yes but you'd have to spend your days looking at finance reports and balance sheets all day but you might find a diamond in the rough and get %1000 back in returns like all the great investors have done. You won't be able to do that by putting everything into indexes but that sad part is most financial advisors and mutual finds can't beat it so you have to be very careful with what stocks to pick. I went the easy route and just buy the top 10 stocks that the top 77 superinvesters buy on Dataroma and you can even look at their buy and sell histories. Still better than getting a financial advisor though.

Utterly remainder that kant was the biggest Fraud ever, second being of course Hegel.
Reminder that, since Plato, ALL rationalists are subhumans pieces of shit who cling to their fantasy that intellect is a special sense which somehow connects to their fantasy of truth and somehow they managed to find a way to filter ''bad thoughts leading to falsehood '' form ''good thoughts leading to truth''.

Reminder that

Kant is product of the secular ''''enlightenment'''' and he invented the concept of '''''''''''''''human dignity'''''''''''''' in order to impose humanism as true. ZOMG EVERYBODY IS CREATED EQUAL FROM NOW ON, BECAUSE.... THEY JUST ARE OKAY CHUDD!!!1111!!1 DEMOCRACY AND RATIONALITY WORK OKAYY BIGOT!!! MY MIND TOLD ME SO!!! I AM LE COPERNICUS OF MORALITY!!!
It's all retroactive though.
So for Kant, after he has been a racist piece of shit for 60 years and publishing his racist rants all over Prussia, he decided that humanism was so trendy that he wanted to be part of it. He created a whole propaganda from his intellectual atheist head and he came up with the categorical imperative and the transcendental idealism.
Of course, he was an atheist, so he is a cunning little bitch and his hypocrisy shows up when he talks about white lies for instance. Kant like any atheist is desperate to be seen a good boy, but since atheism has no morality and no truth, he had to go about virtue signaling. His little trick for lying is this: ''lying is bad my fellow atheists, but hey if you lie to somebody who expects you to lie, then you're still a good humanist boy''.
And all his crappy mental gymnastics was after he seethed hard due to Hume.
All of this because atheists want that Humanism be true, so they have to kill Christianity for instance, but they do it by using relativism. then the atheists are fucked, because relativism applies also to humanism, so they have to build a narrative where humanism is true even though relativism is true too.

>> No.55119355

>>55119348

Also Kant was the useful idiot to come up with a the whole apparatus for the atheist propaganda. He jumped in the bandwagon about ''''''''maths'''''''.
Kant was a piece of shit and did not understand a single line of maths. He was like the atheists today , the punk ass bitch who raves '''''''I FUCKIN LOVE SCIENCE NOW ZOMG''''''''' even though he never did a single scientific experiment and never studied maths ever.
So this kunt said ''omg newton is like my idol now'' and guess what, his little atheist gymnastics is a vain attempt to justify newton as the guy who got it right FOREVER.
look I am going to be clear. The atheists rejected god and the theist scholars. Instead they replaced god with something else: society. They replaced religions with ''''''''''ideology'''''''''. The priests in atheism are the ones who ''''''''''study society''''.
And the language of the atheists is maths. So the priests must use maths all the time.
Of course this son of a bitch was later on RKT by other atheists who went all ''oomg einstein is so right guys, he's our jew idol now'' with the exact same reasoning lol.
Ultimately Kant is part of the atheist canon. But like with anything atheist, you know it's created for bugmen by bugmen in order for them to dive deep into self indulgence. Egalitarianism is true because WHY WONT EVERYONE WANT IT TO BE TRUE. SO it's just is OKAYYYY. There that's fucking Kant for you.

Reminder that it's pretty easy to debunk this retarded atheist morality: it's another atheist narcissistic delusion that other people will want what i want, but atheists are desperate to create a mental framework with universalism at its core, in order to earn some atheist karma point, so they are obsessed with ''wanting what others want'', because you know if they think something, then it means any other people will think their way, it cant be otherwise oKAYYY. It's vaginal.

>> No.55119359

>>55119355

And all their intellectual despair stem from their killing of the semitic god lol. They are just embarrassing themselves at this point.
Atheists are always trying to reinvent the wheel, trying to pass their made up mental masturbation as the new obvious god, (but without calling it a religion lol, ATHEISM IS NOT A RELIGION OKAAYYY BIGOT!!! MY OWN MIND TOLD ME SO!!!111), but it turns out that even other atheists dont acknowledge that the < current intellectual fad > is obvious and ready to be the new god (they always ask in their defining Pavlovian way their famous question: dude you got a source for that??huh?huh? where's the source?where is it?huh?I'm still waiting for a source!!) .
Atheists always eat each other alive. If atheists want universalism so bad, they should not have used relativism to seize power and settle atheism as the norm in order to spend their life virtue signaling.
Atheism is this: twitter is my religion, joe biden my god, ambear heard my christ and elon musk my satan.
Good thing that humanism is dying and plenty of people are not humanist.

the Fed has made a point of sending out 20 speakers in the last several weeks to reiterate and emphasize
>higher for longer
>more increases coming
>potentially two more 25bps
>hold for a very long time
not only all the voting members of the FOMC have said this, the IMF also just released a report urging central banks, specifically US Fed to keep rates higher for longer
https://finance.yahoo.com/news/imf-calls-for-fed-to-raise-rates-further--the-job-is-not-quite-yet-done-203328498.html
(Fri, May 26, 2023)
>IMF calls for Fed to raise rates further — 'The job is not quite yet done'
>the Fed’s preferred measure of inflation – the consumption expenditures index, excluding volatile food and energy prices – rose 4.7% in April, accelerating from 4.6% in March.

Right now we are in a spot where banks have communicated with the Fed that they are at risk of blowing up (like the other banks) and that they need a little bit of time to fix their balance sheets --- so you get the Fed being wishy-washy, trying to keep the 2yr yield down (among others), as if they let bond yields spike up too high too fast all the banks will blow up
so they need to keep hiking to fight inflation, but they will talk out of the other side of their mouth to prevent the yield spikes from blowing up banks
Furthermore, when we see the yield curve uninvert, I think that we will see the long end rise - TLT will fall further as we uninvert
for this reason, I would not be looking to go long 20+ year bonds, and would wait minimum until November before pulling that trigger
As the recession, impact of rate hikes, trajectory of rate hikes, inflation, everything will be much more clear after we have passed through September / October

Powell is stuck between a rock and a hard place. Companies are deathly afraid to lay people off since they may not be able to replace them when we enter the rebound phase like after COVID. With lower than expected unemployment, Powell will have to keep raising rates to keep inflation at bay, and companies will collapse as rates go higher. Volcker at one point had over 10% unemployment on his hands when he was raising rates, and he absolutely destroyed US manufacturing that you always see referenced in old movies during the 1980s. Powell isn’t even close to getting to that point yet, and that scares the Fed because they can only go so high with interest rates hikes

day trading works if you curb your greed, ie if you earn liek 00 dolalrs each day with say 2 or 3 lots.
Once you are good at doing this, you just x10 the volume and you are good. However to become fifthly rich you need to trade on the daily and weekly chart and manage even bigger positions.

daytrading means you trade positions that you both open and close intraday.
for example, on Friday I opened a long position on TQQQ at the bell and left it open until like 30 minutes before close when I closed it out.
daytraders often use leverage so leaving positions open overnight is asking to get fucked by news you can't react to until market open when it's too late.

now i have a decent amount of passive income lets say 11% of my gross income for last year could be dividends and interests if i chose to position that way.
Should i take a voluntary demotion at work and less strain on my blood pressure? Its a high stress job and i wake up at night worrying when theres a big event at work the next day im in charge of

I'm day trading rn
make about $20 a day. I'm playing it very very safe because I'm scared as fuck of losing even a single dollar.
Day traders tend to lose because they want to buy the lowest of the low dip and sell at the highest of the high top. That requires a level of precision that no one has so they lose.
Just buy into the dip and sell into the top. I could've technically earned $70 today but instead I earned $20. It's not great but it's not a loss and I'm pretty confident I can do this consistently.
My biggest issue is transaction costs cutting into my small profitability. Banks are twats.

They do at my "workplace". Two ways: one, you intentionally fuck up enough to where they demote you. You keep your money but your title is changed to reflect your lower responsibility. Also said title change is a lower pay grade and the reason for it is put in your personal file. Which later if you decide to move up higher all this can come back to bite you cause they'll see where you fucked up cause its all in your file. The other way; Your a "whatever" at a pay grade 15. You decide to take a "whatever" at a pay grade 12. You keep your 15 grade money. However the only way you get more money going forward is if you take a "whatever" at a grade 16 or higher. (salary hikes given out by the legislators or internal promotion is the exception)

What kills daytraders (beside those that have to pay fees and don't have $1m to swing around to quench it) is usually one of three things: the adage, that comes from the poker world, "eats like a bird, shits like an elephant". Usually caused by things like revenge trading or not knowing when to cut losses on a strategy that clearly isn't working. "It's OK, I just need to win $20 a day 10x to make back my losses" is the hallmark that you're in this state. Careful there.
The other is getting lenient: "I'm so successful with my $20 a day. It's been 2 weeks and I've made $280 in total! Time to swing 10x as much now". The third is adopting a strategy that only works when the market runs in one direction, and not realizing until you lose it all on a single-day downturn (or a couple days downturn because you "trust your plan").

Money buys time and health. Without money you can never get health, and the time you have is limited by your health. It's also time you are forced to waste due to no money.
Money is literally everything until you get a fully passive significant income.

As a successful day trader myself: the problem always comes from emotions. I can pretty much gaurantee you that anyone who is successful like me trades strictly by following the rules that have been properly backtested. I mean strictly like a robot: win or lose you literally just do the same thing, over and over, like a machine. No exceptions. Even better if you can make a trading bot and have it literally trade like a machine, and remove emotions entirely.

It's weird because it's so simple. You have a probablistic edge and you just wash rinse repeat that shit with proper risk management. You do that ad infinitum. The problems always come from breaking the rules, usually due to emotions. That's why 90% of day traders fail or whatever the dumb statistic is, is probably true. Because most people are too fucking stupid and/or emotional and don't develop a strict set of rules that they follow no matter what. That's literally all you have to do.

My system literally just uses 2 EMA's btw, with a momentum oscillator that is also simply based on those two EMA's. You don't even need anything fancy. Remember that 100 IQ is at the 50th percentile on the bell curve, so half of the world's population is double digit IQ. It'll help you understand why most people fail, in trading and in life in general.

>tl;dr create a trading system based on a backtested probabilistic edge with proper risk management (which includes position sizing). once you have the rules, you follow those strictly, and just wash rinse repeat those rules, forever. you will lose money when you break the rules.

though on paper this may sound simple and easy, the vast majority of people break the rules, and you probably will, too. because most people are fucking stupid. this is also why we'll never escape the tyranny of the elites, because they know precisely how to manipulate all of the dumb people so democracy will never work.

Well yeah, already being wealthy from the get-go gives you more free time, but in reality 99.999% of people are trading their labor (time) for money. And by trading your labor for money, whether it's physical labor or a desk job, you're effectively wearing out your body's limited lifespan for green pieces of paper. Medicine doesn't make you healthier, it just makes things that are already broken slightly more tolerable.

but hey, im over it. i didn't start this shit, and there's no way for me to fix it. im gonna enjoy the fall of rome while it lasts and then die. good luck to the rich jews who survive. maybe if reincarnation is true i'll come back as one and get to live in the utopia then. or maybe i'll be in heaven looking down as God smites them Sodom and Gomorrah style. or maybe i'll just get to not exist anymore and not give a fuck about this absurd life and whatever goes on while im not in it. who knows. everything is gay and life is clearly absurd, either way.

Extremely based anon
Love you man. From what I'm hearing I should be running a model that tests EMA's at different time periods and a momentum oscillator for the ratio between the two and back testing on the past performance of the stock. Once I find two time periods that provide me a momentum oscillator that is in line with the past performance I can use that as a current performance indicator. Am I correct in this, anon?

>> No.55122389

>>55122255
not really, but experiment and figure it out for yourself. i'll give you a hint: you don't really need the momentum oscillator. i just like it for reference and to show precisely where the MA's cross each other.

just note that when a trend continues it usually consolidates around the slower moving average first. this isn't exactly what i use, but say you use the classic 20/50 EMA. notice how often price gets around the 50 and then returns to going with the trend. 20/50 is too fast though and you'll often see it flip prematurely, you want 2 EMA's that can stick to one side most of the time during a pullback instead of flipping. now, this is oversimplifed but look at some charts of TSLA or AMD and you should get the idea. i also use tick charts instead of time charts and i trade the most active stocks each day that are over $50 and have the most volume, even better if there's a catalyst. think or swim literally comes with this sort of scanner by default, i didn't even have to make one.

i don't want to give away too much, but that should be enough to get you started. just look at a lot of charts of highly liquid high active stocks on different tick chart settings until you find one you like and can handle the speed of. ultimately you should just learn to identify trends and then enter trades on reversals of pullbacks. think, "where would i like to be getting in and getting out in this price action?" and then think "okay what rules would allow me to do that, and will those rules fuck me in some other set of price action, and how often does that price action typically occur based on all of the charts i've looked at or backtested on?"

that's not how it works, anon. you don't win all the time. you have to account for losing streaks and manage risk appropriately. most people are too lazy and/or too stupid to put in the work required, and even if they figured out the strategy that works, they hit a winning streak and think they're a god and increase their position sizing (breaking the rules), or they hit a losing streak and they start to revenge trade (breaking the rules), or get scared of some losses and drastically reduce their position size out of fear (breaking the rules), or they don't properly backtest their system and therefore can't trust it and think they know better than their system in some cases and try changing how to trade (breaking the rules). and so on and so forth.

like... i don't know how else to get across to you that people are mostly retarded. they're lazy and they fuck shit up constantly. you should know this if you've simply lived long enough and interacted with enough people irl. i shouldn't have to explain this to you, you should just *know*.
