Type R is $44k, but unlike some BMW piece of shit, the Type R will last a long time and keep it's resale value.

Would I be an idiot for paying $25k-$30k for a new Corolla? It's not a lavish consoom based purchase, but I have no other option if I want a decent car given the used car market. What is everyone else going? Should I keep waiting? It seems like the used car market prices is a result of aliteral shortage of used cars and so dealers end up fighting for whats available which drives up the prices that consumer have to pay. I fucking hate this shit so much. In 2019 I could have gotten a 2-3 year old car for cheap, now these cars are just expensive as the new ones.

Im going through the same decisions right now. I guess let me chime in. In January i started a new job that i take the train to work for. Prior job i drove but whatever since the covid regime, train passes are cheap as shit. 70 bucks/month for me.

The second week of january my old beater finally died on me. Then i started looking for cars. I saw that pretty much "good" useds are going for round about 15k when a couple years back it was maybe 8k. So i thought let me buy new.

Tldr i look online at 2 cars, a base model corolla LE of 2023, and a corolla SE of 2023. The dealer jew in January was trying to charge 28k on a 22500 car. Then the taxes and fees would put me at 30k. This was for the LE.

So i said nope fuck them ill gas their children. So i waited and waited and waited, and this past week i saw a local toyota dealers posting for memorial say sale where on their websites they were selling new LEs and the website price said MSRP. TLDR i call them they say its sold out but that i can come in and place a deposit to have a toyota ordered from toyota through them.

So i went there, paid a refundable $500(make sure you do it on credit card so you can charge back if they try to jew you) and am getting a new 2023 corolla LE of my desired colors and everything built and shipped and i buy it at MSRP of 23500 and with taxes its 26k which isnt soooo bad compared to them trying to get me for 30 a few months prior.

Thing is, they'll agree to stuff like this since they no BS have a portal to have cars built and shipped, and theyll sgree to sell it to you at MSRP so long as you finance a portion of the car.

So in the end im gonna pay 10k down and finance the remainder 16k and then just slam pig pay it off as fast as i can. And now i get a car at the price toyota said on the website

Wish you luck anon. Either do this or just buy a shit mobile for 4k, theres no other options. Never and I mean NEVER let these filthy kikes get one over on you

Yeah so what's interesting is this whole "buy at MSRP no markup" is starting to get popular with Toyota vechicles. I also have $500 at a Toyota to place dibs on one and I'm looking at $26k too (although at this price another $4k and I can get a 2023 Prius, which is what I really want). I'm starting to get a sneaking suspicion that soon dealerships are going to start fighting for customers who want to buy new. All of the MSRP only dealers are trying to get ahead of it by just selling cheapies right now before its too late and the supply exceeds the demand especially with the credit crunch we are about experience. Luckily I've been stacking cash and don't need to rely on a loan, problem for me is capital in a new car is capital not in crypto, which bums me out.

I don't need something that big. I do have my eyes on the Prius though, since the 2023 Prius mogs the Corolla, but the consoomerism never ends if you keep thinking of the next best thing, I might just put a hard stop at $26k and just get the Corolla.
