>Athenian owls are so cool.
Indeed they are. They're also a Native European Pagan symbol, which is why a JlDF faggot got ultra triggered and felt the need to make an anti-European /pmg/ minutes after this one and directed anons to that one. They fear this /pmg/ (which was made first).

In the prev general, this post: >>55116425 was the post which linked this thread (Athenian owl OP). Notice how instantly the JlDF faggot there went into rage mode and called the Athenian owl baker a "dumb bitch".

Proof here (this is the OP of the later-baked /pmg/): >>55116525
> "pick the thread of Christ or the sa*anic owl"
They always label everything Native European as "satanic" and evil etc.

Notice also how the JlDF faggot who baker the later /pmg/ and called the OP of this thread (baked first) a "dumb bitch" even censored "satanic" just like the "YHWH" tranny censored "Pagan" and "God" (in that pic), because of course the Satan character is the opposer/adversary to the jew-god Yahweh.

I've built a modest collection of antique silverware from the XVIIIth c., and i'd like to create a sort of display case like you see in museums so i can enjoy looking at them from time to time without having to unbox them everytime (they are sitting in cardboard boxes in the basement).

I plan to build it myself bcuz the ones i see on sale are way too expensive. Any tips on how to do it, and what kinds of materials i should use? I must add i'm a very poor dude, so it must be on a tight budget.

So far my collection consist of 55 forks/spoons, 2 plates, a dipper, a large stew spoon, and a goblet. All in .958 silver for a total of approx 7kg, ranging from 1690-1789.
Sadly no knives and dessert spoons yet, as they are much more expensive (for the knives, they are close to impossible to find, you have one auction popping up every quarter on ebay). Same goes for the goblets to a lesser extent, but i'll focus on those for the next few purchases, my goal being owning 3-4 eventually.

>we gonna hit $50 oz before 2025?
We don't have a crystal ball fren, we don't know either. Since you seems new, you must understand silver is the most manipulated asset on the planet, and it's not an exaggeration, it's factual. The leverage ratio was 244:1 for 2022 (244x more silver sold on the markets than silver mined during the year), huge naked short positions from Comex participants (BofA, HSBC, JPM, Scotia,...), JPM sole custodian of SLV (Blackrock's ETF) physical pulling big shenanigans on a weekly basis, all kinds of shady practices like OTC settlements, EFPs, swapping, spoofing,... A very opaque accounting system making very difficult to know how much silver there is and who detain it. Etc, etc...

Basically with silver you are shooting in the dark. And if it's so manipulated, it's because it's a very tiny market for a commodity with a double importance : it's both real money and an industrial staple. Banksters can't let PM run wild to preserve the perceived value of their toilet paper currencies, and since currencies' performances are measured against gold and silver, it's far easier for them to keep PMs low than to stop meddling/robbing us all with fiat.

If you bet on silver, you basically bet on ppl finally waking up to the fiat scam (and trying to preserve their capital against rampant inflation from insane central banks policies) versus banksters trying to keep us at any cost under their boots with their financial weapons.
It's a battle of real versus fake. We have the numbers, history, truth, and most important : Fear on our side, but the judeocracy have unlimited cash, propaganda outlets, corrupt institutions and repressive and coercive tools allowed by government (taxation/regulation/monopoly on "legitimate" violence) and the capital.

So it's not just an investment, it's also acting on what kind of world you want to shape and bequeath for the future of your kids.

Yes, I'm in Colorado. I live in an old silver mining town, one of the biggest silver producers in the world. I detect in the old ghost towns located around my place. They date from about 1860-1917 when most of them were abandoned.

I've found so much cool stuff. I usually hunt the antique saloon tokens, they're worth about as much as gold, sometimes more. But being an old silver and gold mining town I find a shitload of silver and a fair amount of gold every year. They used to use silver for soldering pipes and barrel hoops here, so there's a crapload of it, along with silver that spilled when they were melting it.

I made one of the Radio Shack kit things back in the 80's but it was heavy and lacked necessary features like a discriminator and sensitivity. Also not waterproof, and you need your detector to be pretty much waterproof in real life.

I've never detected a beach or lake, but one time I was in the bahamas on vacation and down by the beach in some rocks I found a huge gold nugget ring just sitting there. I waited around to see if anyone was looking for it but I never saw anyone checking around there. So I wore it home on my thumb. At the time I think gold was maybe $900 and I sold the ring for $400. Anyway I got loads of other cheap stuff, so it's all good. I kept a log of all my purchases, and it's helping me stay on track. I noticed many coins now are going for over 30 euros, and I'd probably be buying them if I didn't have my logs to remind me of what cheapies looks like. Old coins aren't necessarily bad. Austrian 100 coronas are a pretty good value, but they're almost 1 ozt, so not really fractional. And the south african 2 rand coins are fractional, but they have low premiums. But the LMU and british sovereigns are more expensive (bigger premium), and unless you're forced to buy them for tax reasons, it doesn't really make sense. The 1/2 oz and lower modern bullion coins are also more expensive.
So far, I've only ever bought 1 oz gold kruggerands. I don't plan to change that, unless I just can't easily save up for a 1 oz coin, and then I'll start buying 2 rand coins.

The real red pill is that there's not enough gold and silver in the world to conduct trade, if for some reason people did conduct trade in gold and silver they'd hate you for being rich and kill you, metals have historically never kept up with houses in modern history, and if you save your money- even as gold or silver- you will never save up enough to buy a house because they rise in price faster than you can earn money, and faster than metals go up in value.

further, it takes a certain amount of work to build a house, just like it takes a certain amount of work to mine an ounce of gold or silver, and houses are much harder to build than gold and silver is to mine, so until we completely run out of metals, a fiat crash won't change the metal:house ratio enough for you to benefit from it.

but keep stacking, I'm sure your extremely unlikely future will inevitably play out.

Back when there was enough gold and silver in the world to conduct trade?

what a dumb question. Is there more metal per person when there's a couple million people or when there's a few billion? Even when metal was thousands of times more common per capita, most people didn't buy houses at all. They got their friends and family together and built them.

Yes, you know the argument. The fiat price varies but is a good indicator of fiat:physical ratio. In fact it's exaggerated because of derivatives.

so if we traded in gold and silver the standard unit of trade for an individual would be a couple molecules, not grams or ounces. There's no way that's possible, and if it was possible they'd begin by killing you for your metals. Probably kill me for the silver in my teeth.

Real estate is obviously in a bubble, fueled by massive inflation since 1971. Same with stonks, all fueled by inflation. Once that debt money is removed, then those assets aren't really worth what they appear to. Because unlike real estate, which was allowed to balloon as banks make big money on loans, silver has been suppressed to the max. But it will all balance out when this fiat currency is reset.
Otherwise, there's also copper, for smaller transactions.

I have never been against stacking I started doing it in the 70's and have sold my stack and then bought back in over and over since.

I got rich off owning a house and a business. Now if I wanted to stack I could buy millions in metals. But I don't want to because metals sit around and do nothing while businesses and houses make bank. My line isn't to tell you not to stack, I don't care what you do with your money.

I just think you should be aware you could stack a lot more if you put your money into something that actually gains. But once you see how well other stuff does against metals you won't want the metals anymore.

I suggest you claim to be big bob refuting your current ID as a sham and posting all of your shit like bob did, not but a few months ago.

most detectors can tell a coin or a ring from other stuff but that's about it. And it's not super reliable, it can be tricked. Lots of things are shaped like coins or rings. Depth indicators are similar- they're not super reliable.

I use cheap detectors. A radio shack from the 80's and a Garrett Ace 250 and I find more stuff than guys with expensive detectors. How much you spend doesn't matter, you just need a detector that's good, and you need to learn how to use it.

Wow, this post: https://files.catbox.moe/3lir30.png was deleted. Probably mass-reported by the ultra triggered JlDF faggots.

Any accessories worth getting? Amazon has a bunch of different package deals and the Garret website only lists the ACE 200, 300, and 400.

Okay so if bonds are dumb and I don't like stocks, should I just stack gold in a safe or something? Or are there /pmg/ approved diversification schemes

Gold, silver, platinum, etc. Plenty of diversity.

Bonds aren't necessarily dumb. If they end up cutting rates, there will be a lot of capital appreciation on them. Stocks are t dumb, don't buy meme bullshit. Buy Boring stocks that pay dividends. Metals too, but more than just metals.
