follow the advice of the point of sale systems at self-checkout and give yourself a tip. for me, it's 20% minimum. i worked really hard (by scanning and bagging my own groceries) to satisfy the customer (myself) so i am entitled to 20% off my purchase by "forgetting to scan" things.

>cancel all subscriptions
>pirate all content
>cook all you eat
>buy bulk/discount/ 'out of date' (it's not)
>cook bulk to save time and energy(physical and electricity)
>skip supermarket and go to source
>bicycle (inb4 gay fat homosexuals talk about cars, do what you want fat fucks)
>cancel phoneplan and use apps
>drink/filter tapwater depending
>buy cheap clothes but quality made, preferably from a poor country with organic materials (can buy bulk for cheaper if look, and sell/store the excess
>if driving distance, or if need car for anything, get shitbox at auctions (do NOT buy anything made during/after covid)
>get a sweing kit
>get high quality, not necessarily expensive, shoes
>buy things second hand, charities
>check out the food banks (insane what is there, no wonder immigrants love coming to the west)
>never order food
>never order taxis
>take care of your health and make any dependants take care of theirs or eliminate the dependancy(people, animals)
>check your electricity/heating bills, calculate how much it's supposed to be and how much you are being overcharged, seek a new provider
>check your internet rates, do you really need ultrafast? what for?
>take no 'holidays' unless you somehow save money doing this
>run the numbers and see how much you have saved
>run them again after eliminating more expenses
>run them once more after eliminating things you don't really want to eliminate but can always pick back up if you don't like doing without whatever it is after a month or two
>tl;dr do your own work OP

Avoid debt, shop around, cook at home, eat store brand food, drink tap water, get an economical car, cancel subscriptions you no longer use, turn off appliances you are not using, learn how to heat/cool your home without electricity. These few things alone can save you hundreds if not thousands every year.

Figure out how much it costs to keep yourself alive and don't spend any more than that.

>> No.55116179

Serious answer is there are three ways the majority of people waste money.

Rent
Car
Food.

You must cut these and lower them at all costs. Moving in with parents, not having a car loan, quit eating out. Skipping name brand cereal will save dollars while lowering the others will save thousands

Forage for your food instead of buying it. You can eat dandelions and dandelion roots, for example.
