It's a little more complicated than that anon. I've made a lot of mistake educationally and occupationally that have essentially shoehorned me into a mediocre life. When I was in my 20's I had the same mindset as you. I got tired of being a fat slob and worked out 6 days a week, got into terrific shape, dated a bunch of girls, went to bars and parties and had the time of my life. But it was exhausting. I don't have the fuel left in the gas tank to go through the grueling workouts, and clean eating. Put simply. North America is the most geographically and resource blessed area of the world and have increasingly been scaling back their role as world police. (If the Ukraine War happened in 2003, US troops would be on the ground officially, instead of US weapons, tech, money, supply, and training with Ukrainian skin) They’ll have to grow their domestic industries significantly for that trend to continue.
