The heart transplant was over a million dollars thank God I was on my mother insurance still under 25. But now through all my hospitalizations/visits I’ve racked up quite a tab. The fuck do I do now? I can’t work and I’m on disability. Is it over?

See if you can get on SSD if you're not already. That way your insurance is paid for even if you make too much money. This is the way. SSI caps your income for insurance and cash allowance.

Basically what happens is now you declare bankruptcy. It costs a couple grand and takes some time.

If you're on disability (SSD) your insurance should be covered via medicaid. You may be limited to making less than a couple thousand per month. Or perhaps not. You need to check the eligibility requirements to see. If you qualify based on low income you will get paid a grand or month or so. Not enough to live on.

In some cases your insurance is paid no matter how much you make. Again, talk to your agency and see. In most cases you are now stuck making wages that can't pay for a house or rent or much of anything. Getting a job may end your insurance, or it may not.
