With all the money printing it is literally impossible for the S&P to ever again trade under 400 and it’s very likely that today or next few trading days at most will be your last chance to ever buy SPY under 420.

Yes, you will continue be priced out of all assets. Houses, stocks, land; all of it will keep increasing in price forever as they have forever. There has never in all of recorded history anywhere in the world been a period where net asset prices declined meaningfully over any appreciable amount of time.

What will stocks and real estate be next week? Nobody knows. What will they be in five years? Higher, it’s 100% guaranteed.

A lot of financial advise is about minimizing risk and dealing with the lowest common denominator. Professionals will tell you that any amount of leverage is degenerate gambling, yet when you look at the portfolios that they themselves create, it's always levered to the tits. Banks? Levered to the tits. Retirement funds? Levered to the tits. Companies after a buyout? You guessed it, levered to the tits. 300% leverage ratio looks downright cute and conservative compared to the leverage employed in some professional strategies.

And part of that advise really is about dealing with the lowest common denominator, because it's true that 95% of retail will shit their pants and liquidate and sue if they wake up one morning and their SOXL holdings have gone from $100k to $5k. The expected return is positive, but you should only invest what you're willing to lose, and there are few stock investors and even fewer who can afford to lose everything.

Part of it is that SOXL really can go to zero. If the index goes down fast enough, the issuer can just decide to liquidate the ETF even if the -30% doesn't quite happen, and it would be hard to diamond hand through that

They're not if you buy an ETF tracking an index that has circuit breakers protection, be it S&P500, NDX-100, whatever. That way you guarantee that your ETF won't ever be terminated. Don't ever buy a 3x leverage ETN on some commodities, that's the worst shit you could do.
2x leverage is the sweet spot for me and considering the possible drawdown, though honestly 3x can work as well considering the drawdown will be as shit as 2x anyway. Holding 2x going as low as -60% or 3x going as low as -75% in a market downturn won't change much psychologically, really.

Countertrend trading is tough business. If you can do it right it's very lucrative. The trend is your friend and so far SOXL/TQQQ bulls got the wind on their sails

>>55098717
Rough Sketch: I've been waiting for bonds to keep getting wrecked as better employment and higher inflation data comes in over the summer + debt ceiling drama. So TMF should getting juicier at a lower price ahead of recession (all the early recession bears are getting murdered right now so this weakness in bonds helps fuel more FOMO in equities).

Look at the biotech stocks that make up TARK and LABU. These stocks are front running rate cuts right now. These stocks were also the first to get murdered ahead of the large caps towards the end of 2021, and now they've been bottoming since June. Once money leaves large cap growth/tech stocks they'll find its way into TARK/LABU trash. It doesn't take much money to push a small cap growth/tech stock up.

So TMF, TARK, LABU is a bet on a rate cut when the large cap S&P-500 and nasdaq-100 stocks pull back and that money flows to bonds and small cap tech because the initial reaction is QE restart expectations.

>Because leveraged ETFs track the daily move x1.5, x2, x3, etc. There are costs to this such as rebalancing (not including the high management fees). Then you have remember that this tracks the daily percentage move.

>In Account A, I have 100 dollars in an asset, and in Account B, I have 100 dollars in a 2x ETF that tracks the asset. If an asset drops 4%, the 2x ETF that tracks the asset drops 8%. Then the asset moves up the next day 4.2%; 2x ETF goes up 8.4%. Account A has 100 dollars after these two moves, but Account B has $99.73. I lost 27 cents with the leveraged 2x ETF.

>If the underlying asset that the leveraged ETF tracks (XBI) goes up in a straight line then LABU is great. If XBI goes down in a straight line then LABD is great. But if it zig-zags with high volatility it's horrible. So holding these over time it means you anticipate the decay/slippage is not as significant as the overall return.

>Stocks (in general) are designed to go up as bull markets occur more often and in longer duration than bear markets. Holding a Bear ETF long term like LABD means you're going to lose it all.

basically they're using the options chain to artificially create leverage. During Rollover they have to buy new options and sell old ones. This come with a cost to the fund which they pass on to the consumer.
However options give on avg 10x leverage so they're keeping 70% of your gain for themselves to cover the cost of programming the computer doing it for you when they started the fund.
This cost is called drag and you're eating it month over month over month.
You're eating pancakes with all the fixin's for breakfast and they're buying steak for dinner on your bill. all cuz they wake up a little earlier.

He said that Caan “fell in love with mobsters” through his experience on the 1972 set. “’Til the day he died, he thought he was a mobster. He thought he was Sonny Corleone,” he said.

Russo also claims that Caan went too far in an infamous “Godfather” fight scene where Sonny pummels Carlo for hitting his sister.

Although Russo said that a stunt double was used, particularly when Carlo was thrown over a railing, he also was in the scene and was injured by Caan.

“That’s me. He’s biting my hand; he’s banging my elbow with that steel garbage pail. He chipped my elbow,” he said. “When I crawled out and he lifted me in the air, he broke two of my ribs, which was not in the rehearsal. That was me laying there.”
