interesting how this aligns with the so-called insiders who said it would get announced at ETHCC.

If CCIP gets announced as some sort of next-gen version of ETH that actually could propel it to the fucking stratosphere, to #3 even.

How the fuck is XRP still at $23B mcap and LINK can barely hold $3B when it is 5000x more used/useful. LINK should be $30B mcap minimally.

they will move on to how vitalik mentioned danksharting at some mev.rape con last year might use chainlink oracles to blah blah blah techno babble. you'd think after this many years we
>we
would stop falling for these obvious jewish tricks
But it is interesting seeing the ones that betrayed the least get priority access to new chainlink features. I dont think this will be the case with CCIP. I think they will come out with heaps of liquidity on hand to be the meta-consensus layer that links all blockchains and tradfi so any competitor will have to not only have X amount of liquidity on hand in various tokens but also have loads of customers ready to go

So two months into the relationship my girlfriend looks at me and she goes, "Why havent you made a move yet" and I said "What?" and she goes "Why haven't you tried to fuck me yet??" so I go "well if you wanna go that way we can..." and she says "okay but we need some condoms." so I said "Alright well let me go hop on my minibike and I'll run up to the store and grab some." She goes "No, you're gonna go have your mom drive you up there and get some condoms." and that makes me kind of nervous, so (we're the kind of family that yells across the house to talk to each other) she goes in the house and yells to my mom, my mom goes "WHAT" and she goes "YOUR KID NEEDS SOME CONDOMS. WE'RE TRYING TO FUCK!" so my mom goes "ALRIGHT ILL BE DOWN IN A MINUTE AND WE CAN GO" So my mom drives me up to walgreens and I say "are you coming in" and she goes "Hell no! You're gonna take this money and go in by yourself and get some damn condoms." So I go in the store, and I didn't know there were so many different fuckin kinds of condoms. This old lady comes up and she asks "you having some fun tonight?" And I go "Yeah I need some condoms so me and my girlfriend can do it safely" and she says "Well what are you looking for?" And I say "I dont really know" And she started asking some pretty personal questions, which I had no problem answering ("how sized are you?"). Anywho I end up walking out with JUST THE RIGHT SIZED ribbed condoms. And when I got home, it was FIVE HOURS and a WHOLE BOX OF CONDOMS later when me and my girlfriend are sitting in a stew of love juices... Life juices. We look each other in the eyes and say "God damn, god must have stopped time for this." because so much time flew by, we didnt even realize. And that was the best fucking night of my god damn life.

>automatically CONVERTED
In the blogpost it mentioned that the other asset used CAN be converted, implying it was optional. I remember this being a source of discussion at the time. Do you have any confirmation that this conversion is automatic?

You cannot pay node ops in anything else other than link. Its already implied.

>BTC miners
Speaking of which, a year ago some anon made a very eloquent post explaining in detail and Chainlink staking is actually more akin to Bitcoin mining, in fact, the anon went on to state that Chainlink staking is the new Bitcoin mining. Does any anon remember that post?

I vaguely remember a post like that

>> No.55096244

>>55096213
It was a very well informed post and very easy for a layman to understand, the anon clearly knew a lot about staking and it's mechanisms. It was similar to the f(x) post.

it is because Sergey decided to invest in (subsidize) bootstrapping that Chainlink is where it is. Getting a network going on its own near impossible. No one else could’ve pulled this off because of their short-minded greedy behaviors.

But now it is time for Chainlink and Co. to reap the rewards of this execution

Using LINK as a gas token is not what's going to generate value to the token, the yield offered for staking the token and the subsequent lock up of the supply in nodes is what will increase the value

>> No.55097506

>>55097291
i agree with your locking up supply point

if the token isn't used as gas, where's the yield coming from though??

On what good faith basis could you possibly make that comparison? The supply of the two are completely different. LINK, at 50% circulating, has fed more supply into circulation to "subsidise nodes" and these inorganic rewards are immediately sold into the order books. How is this at all similar to the supply increases of BTC, already 95% circulating and ordained to taper off after every halving in an algorithmically transparent manner every 4 years? BTC is in a class of its own, a far bigger network, which is not immediately dumped practically across the board by nodes come bull or bear. That happens with LINK because demand is not sufficient to absorb the dumps. That's the fucking difference, dipshit.

By the way, the loftier your comparisons the greater your divorce from reality. Here you are again, today struggling to hold $6 at rank 22, comparing yourselves to increasingly more exceptional unicorn assets, BTC and AMZN and MSFT, which each day you slide further and further away from. You are deluded by pride, plain and simple.

You misunderstand me, the token will be used for gas. I just mean that this alone isn't going to drive the price up, as even if someone purchased LINK to pay for oracle costs the node ops could just immediately sell it making it effectively neutral. Now if those node ops were incentivized to stake those LINK rewards that would be different

I believe bootstrap is for spinning up new DONs in a on demand way.
Here in docs we can see a "Bootstrap Node" which talks about being used for OCR clusters.
The two could be unrelated, but idk
