You cant compare link to eth, when eth ico launched there was less then 10 crypto currencies, it didnt have a 65% premine, everyone needs eth to buy shitcoins, nobody needs link (tokens).
Link launched when there was already thousands of other shitcoins, it will never have the same hype or attention eth had. Nobody even knows it exists besides its cult bag holders.
