That's exactly what I'm telling you. I could lock in a $10k loss if sell out of all my picrel. Then I would be able to get 500 (technically 600 shares) but 500 to keep a small cash buffer. But these international etf tickers with no option volume are killing me. I just fail to see where these rally at the direct expense of spy. I have a much larger regular brokerage that I'm already loading up ATM covered call on to sell out of those and do basically what you suggested in June. But I'm testing the method of using covered calls to sell out of positions vs just selling. But these ones in my IRA are killing me because I can't do any covered calls because of no option liquidity. SPY is where the game is, and I need regular income. I don't have a W2 anymore. And it's tough doing 20+ trades a day for lunch money all the time. It's like not worth being that active all the time even though it's just grocery money won or lost.
